We've covered every Kirby platformer to date over the course of four episodes, so what territory is left to trod when it comes to Nintendo's pink puffball? If you're a Retronauts listener, it may not surprise you, but Kirby has starred in a shocking amount of games that involve more than just left-to-right traversal. On this episode of Retronauts, join Bob Mackey, Ray Barnholt, Henry Gilbert, and patron Andrew Oliveira—who sponsored this installment—as the crew examines the many, many Kirby spin-off games. This episode is so exciting, you may have a mass attack!

Kirby's Dream Course multiplayer has been the most beloved multiplayer game among non-gamers or more casual gamers in my life for whatever reason. At a family gathering years ago, I was playing it on my SNES Classic and a boomer relative who only really played Wii Sports or Madden saw it and despite the Kirby theming, he noticed it was like golf, an activity he enjoyed IRL, and immediately wanted to play. He absolutely smoked me in multiplayer. Two significant others in my life both absolutely adored the game after I introduced it to them when we played games together and would also request it all the time and we'd have fun being competitive and knocking each other's Kirbys off of the stage. My advice to everyone is if you want a romantic activity for you and your partner or survive a family gathering with a relative who you have nothing in common with, ask them to play Kirby's Dream Course with you apparently.

Always a pleasure to be on. I can't believe we finally hit the end of Kirby. I think this episode might hold the [Retronauts] record for most games, (and maybe most platforms), talked about in a single episode.
