Good morning, good new year, and... good grief (Patreon)

Hello, friendly Retronauts patrons! We survived 2016, somehow, and now we have a new year to muddle through, somehow. I would like to announce that 2017 is off to a rousing, kick-ass start for Retronauts, but... uh, no, it looks like it's going to be business as usual. 

I spent a few hours yesterday working on the new early-access episode of the show to post today, and it was going really well. That is, until I woke up this morning and remembered that I had promised this week's Micro would be a Puzzle Bobble-focused follow-up to the Bubble Bobble episode. That's lovely and all, but I'm currently about 1200 words into a Micro on the history of audio and music sampling in video games. So I gotta start over, which means the Micro may not go up until tomorrow. Sorry about that — I got all excited about putting together a follow-up for the FM synthesis episode and totally goofed.

The sampling episode was coming along pretty well, too! Such a shame that Micros will be phased out in favor of weekly full-length episodes before I can finish it up, eh? — Jeremy
