At this point, I think we can all safely assume that live Retronauts panels are back. And, since they tend to be accessible only to people who have the ability to travel to said shows, we'd like to continue making them available in podcast form as much as possible. I think we've just about sorted out the mechanics of recording after a shaky re-start, and these presentations sound pretty good to my ear! You can tell they're live, but there's no echo or distortion, and our voices sound pretty clear. All told, a solid result. Please to enjoy.

Nadia Oxford kicks off this bonus episode with her Retro World Expo presentation on the history and general coolness of dragons in video games. Then, for the second panel, I (it's me, Jeremy!) present a companion piece at Portland Retro Expo to my Sega SG-1000 panel back at Long Island a few months ago by covering the full span of Sega 8-bit creations—mostly their forgotten arcade legacy. There's a little overlap with the SG-1000 talk to give this audience context, but not much; it's really focused on a different aspect of Sega's legacy.

That wraps it up for my live panels until next spring, so please look forward to the gentle comfort of studio (etc.) recordings from me and Nadia for the immediate future.

As someone who lives in a faraway land and will probably never be able to attend these live shows in person, I greatly appreciate you uploading them to the feed.

I hope the whole crew is staying safe and healthy. It’s great to hear y’all, and that you can connect with folks in person, but please take care of yourselves first and foremost! Thanks for all the audio goodness.
