It's official: After three full-length episodes on Capcom's groundbreaking video game, we've exhausted the topic of Street Fighter II. Naturally our series must continue, but just like Capcom, we can't simply count to 3 just yet! No, we've got to establish what all these characters were up to before Street Fighter II took place, so this week we're covering the 1995 anime-tastic arcade game Street Fighter Alpha.

Diamond Feit slides in to seize the hosting reins away from Jeremy Parish, as the two of them face off against returning guest Brandon Sheffield. Can our regular contributors stand their ground against an outsider with insider knowledge on Street Fighter? There's only one way to find out!

Enjoyed this episode, did Alpha actually come out or was developed for the CPS1? I thought it was CPS2 and there was a port to the CPS Changer (which is based on the cps1).

you guys really need to get someone from the FGC like James Chen on if you're going to call these deep dives. The FGC is integral to telling the story of SF

It was released for both CPS1 & 2, though the CPS1 version had to make some compromises. https://www.wired.com/2015/12/yoshinori-ono-street-fighter/
