Another patron request episode from the Lifestream tier, and as is often the case with these episodes, it's led us to tackling a topic that probably would have been overlooked otherwise. That's not a function of me/us disliking Ratchet & Clank—quite the contrary! It's just one of those things I kinda take for granted. So shout out to Bill Nielsen for putting his foot down and saying, "No! I will not stand for this offhanded dismissal of my Lombax pal!"

It's a fun and comprehensive episode, and dang if Amanda Pruitt's IPA-inspired cover illustration isn't just the bee's knees. Look upon her work, ye mighty, and uhhh... well, don't despair. Rejoice, actually.

I enjoy eps like this because I probably would never have experienced this game otherwise.

Another fun one. I came to the series late, when the PS3 ports of the PS2 games came out (I had previously bought the originals out of a clearance bin only to find that they didn't run on the later back-compatible PS3s), but now it's probably tied with Yakuza for my favorite series launched this century.

For me (played the PS2 and PS3 trilogies, nothing else) the series never again reached the heights of Ratchet 1. They get steadily worse through Quest for Booty, and then Crack in Time is slightly better than the prior 2 but is still pretty mediocre (bloated). I'd take Jak, Sly, or Spyro any day.
