About halfway through our first cowboy games episode back in August, we realized we'd only gotten through a little more than half of our notes as our time was coming to a close. So instead of rushing through the rest of the selections on our list, we decided to wrap up around the year 1991, and reconvene for a part two to discuss the history of cowboy games up to Y2K—while including a few selections omitted from the first episode. On this installment of Retronauts, join Bob Mackey, Jeremy Parish, Henry Gilbert, and Nina Matsumoto as the crew takes on the remaining retro westerns, from JRPGs to holographic murder simulators to Link to the Past clones. Listen in and you'll be grinnin' like a weasel in a hen house!

Check out Silverload. A horror western adventure game I rented for the playstation. Great atmosphere and setting of a western ghost town. An obscure game but it's worth checking out.

Another late addition, since I just got to this episode of my backlog: Gunfighter The Legend of Jesse James for PS1. Light gun shooter that's basically Time Crisis with cowboys. It's not as amazing as Time Crisis was, but it's perfectly serviceable as an entry in the light gun shooter genre.
