Hi everyone, there have been a few times this year that work or life circumstances have caused our early access episodes to go up a few days late, which is something I really want to avoid. Sometimes we just can't help it, though. So, by way of averaging out injustices through numbers, here's the next episode of Retronauts Micro a day early. It's our little secret, OK?

This week, I muse over the history and greatness of Treasure. We could probably do a full episode on the company, and I'm sure we will someday! For now, though, here's a quick primer.

Music this episode is from Gradius V, composed by the inimitable Hitoshi Sakimoto. Also, it seems like people had issues with last week's episode, so I've attached this week's file two different ways. Hopefully this works for you!

Thanks as always for your support. Bob and I will be reconvening to record more episodes. Drop me an email to jeremy.parish@usgamer.net and if we have time for letter segments we'll try to read and comment on your letters on air! Topics include the 30th anniversary of the NES launch, Williams arcade games, Devil May Cry, Fumito Ueda, and PlayStation's 20th anniversary. YOW.

this micro made me realise a whole big chunk of gaming goodness I missed from Treasure. I've heard of Gunstar Heroes, but never played it. I'll have to remedy that.

The Gradius V music in the background is so good its distracting from the actual talking haha.

Gunstar Heroes is legit and I recently replayed it on xbla and it seemed port perfect.
