Another interview episode, yes indeed, with another key figure in North American role-playing gaming. This conversation with Interplay and InExile chief Brian Fargo isn't quite as leisurely or intimate as last year's Robert Woodhead and Michael Cranford interviews, since it was recorded remotely, but it does make for a nice companion piece to those chats. This time, it affords a little more insight into the evolution of games from the management and production side as opposed to the design and programming side, which helps (in my opinion) give a fuller picture of the logistics game makers dealt with during the ’80s. Anyway, another bit of actual journalism here to break up the fuzzy nostagia toward Mega Man and Final Fantasy you normally hear here.

The brilliant cover art this week, once again, comes to you courtesy of Cassie Hart Kelly!

This was my favorite of your interview episodes. I love Fallout but never played Wasteland. I did buy the Wasteland 2 Director's Cut that includes Wasteland 1 and 2 and the DC of 2 and started playing 2 DC. It's good and hard in exactly the right ways, though I got stuck trying to figure out how to heal my party once I ran out of bandages. But as someone who discovered these sorts of games with Fallout 2 in high school, it hits all of the right nostalgia buttons while still feeling new.
