It's taken nearly four years, but it's finally here: part two of Square-Enix's ambitious trilogy of Final Fantasy VII remakes. And guess what? It's HUGE! While Remake proved the viability of a modern Final Fantasy VII reimagining, Rebirth absolutely blows the doors off with an open-world take on this classic RPG. But does this chunk of the original game's disc one make a smooth transition into a 100-hour journey? On this episode of Retronauts, join Bob Mackey, Will Hughes, and Henry Gilbert as the crew discusses the remake that's now taken up a significant portion of their lives.

"What is this game!?" Was the exact reponse I got from my wife playing Yakuza 0, funny enough lol Every time she walked in it was slot cars, or hostess clubs, etc

I really enjoyed this episode and it made me try Remake again, as I bounced off it the first time I played. I’m about halfway through now and I don’t think I can finish because I just don’t care about the story or mechanics. I didn’t play the original because I had a N64 so the lack of nostalgia may be a factor. But I’m glad both Remake and Rebirth exist and I can enjoy them vicariously through your podcast even if they’re not my cup of tea.
