February 2023 | The Patreon-Discord Integration Debacle (Patreon)

Hello, Brains & Hearts! 

Last week, we had a situation where Patreon updated its integration with Discord. Unfortunately, the email they sent forewarning us about it was either lost or never arrived, as we've not been able to find it yet. But I digress. 

We're still unsure about the scale or level of "damage" done. We'll be slowly cross-referencing those who lost their roles with our list of active patrons to hopefully get an idea of the "damage". 

This said, we still have a couple of requests for you, our Patrons. 

1. Please double-check that your payment information is up to date. We have heard news that the system struggles to update some people's information. If that's you, please reach out to Patreon support for further assistance. 

2. If you are on our Discord, please check to make sure your Patreon & Discord is still connected properly. If you aren't sure how just read this Patreon support article: Clicky If after you still don't have the appropriate role on Discord, please let us know via a comment below. The more data we have the more it will help. If you aren't sure how to check your roles on Discord:
- Go to the How to ADHD server
- Find yourself, either in the member's list, or find a post you've made.
- Click your user name, and it'll pop up with your user server profile
- Find the "Roles" section of that server profile and beneath it all the roles attached to your name will show up. 

Our Patreon roles are close matches to our tier names. So if you don't see a Patreon tier name then you don't have a Patreon role. If you do see your Patreon tier listed, then you're connected properly!
