Lying on the floor, exhausted from my War with Art (or really, the automatic negative thoughts that ADHD likes to throw our way plus struggles with technology) and after finishing my cut of this week's episode, I checked on Patreon and saw we have a lot more patrons this month and that those of you who have supported me from the beginning are still on board, even though I so often fight (and fail) to get videos done on time. So I just wanted to say...thank you. I'm inspired to do the work I'm doing on this show regardless of financial gain, but what you give me is the ability to take days off work...to attend ADHD conferences...to order delivery so I don't have to stop working on a script to make dinner. You give me the ability to pay Edward, maybe not what he'd normally make for the amount of work he puts into the show, but enough that he keeps helping out and I don't feel completely awful about asking for so much of his time. You give me the hope that someday I'll be able to do this full time and still afford to get married and have kids and stuff (read: have a life while still helping as many ADHDers as possible) But maybe more than anything, you remind me that what I'm doing is important enough that people are willing to support it, and that I'm not the only one making sacrifices for the show, and that is the kind of emotional support that gets me through days like this. I appreciate each and every one of you. <3<3

You know what makes you special? Youtube is already filled with so many of the same things like gamers, pranksters, vloggers and musicians. This is not a bad thing offcourse, but what you created is a special thing on its own and that's the whole reason i made a patreon account to support you. Im sure you will have your ups and downs in the future and will miss deadlines to upload the video. But that's okay, im sure most people here will know what your going through and will understand it and rather support you during those days then leave bad comments. The online world is a weird place, but if you stick to helping others like you do now im 100% sure you will receive it in return when needed. Small example of your video's that influenced my life. This is based on your "Social Game" video. I struggle with the social part of life and sometimes i have a hard time going to the movies and other times i want to go 5 times a week. The reason not going is offcourse social anxiety, but it depends on my mood. So i made a list with my social things i do often and put them in levels. lvl 1: Invite one friend to watch a movie or go for a walk into like the forest or any quiet places. lvl 2: Invite multiple friends to do something like on lvl 1 lvl 3: Grab some food with some friends or go out shopping. lvl 4: Go to the movies , go to a birthday (if your invited offcourse haha) lvl 5: Ask friends to go bowling, play pool or anything that involves a social gathering lvl 6: Go out to a cafe, club or whatever Now based on my mood i choose a level i wont go above. For example: If i have a hard week at work and there were to many things that didnt go right i know i should not go above lvl 3, because i know i need to relax and need my time calm down before the next week starts. But when i have a great and relaxing week i know lvl 6 is no problem for me. I can continue writing examples that helped me, but that will get this message waaaay to long. So let's end this.Thank you for everything and offcourse a big shout out to Edward for his work behind the scenes and i wish you 2 all the best in what is coming and if you need help you know where to find your patreons :) Have a great weekend!

Jess, I give because I believe in what you and Edward are doing. You are honest and giving. I want to see you succeed in what you are doing. I want to see Edward and you have what you dream of having some day. It truly is possible. If you believe in yourself it will happen. I am sure Edward does the work that does not for the money, but he cares about and loves you. Your tribe has your back and we will (I know I will) always be there for the two of you. Do you remember the email I wrote for Edward? That is what it is all about, people caring about other people. Do we care that you get your video out on time? I know that it is not important that you do, it is important that you are trying. I know that there is a lot that goes into making just one 5 minute video. I DO appreciate the effort that Edward and you put in to the channel. Remember, were you were a year ago. I challenge ALL of your Patreon supporters to post words of encouragement to Edward and you !!!!!!!!!! Never give-up, never surrender !!!!! Being artistic is the hardest thing. If my daughter turns out like you I would be the proudest father there could be. You are facing so many challenges yet you keep doing it. You will succeed, I have faith in you !!!!!! Tim

Jessica and Edward, you both have helped me out so much since finding your channel, by accident with the fidget cube review. Because of that, I did get tested and am in the medication trial process now that its come to light what has really been going on for 38 years now. Without that, I don't know if I'd ever have found out. Sitting in the breakroom at work trying not to tear up, cuz I totally feel the sentiments of you and your supporters. Its not how often, not how late, but its the quality and the effort you both put into this that matter most. I believe in you both, and you are on the path to something great! Thank you for everything you've gone through to get here and be our role model and tribe leader! Many, many quarters for you to save!

"just keep swimming, just keep swimming" jess (sorry, just crossed my mind) :) How can we help or support you?

Anonymous

Just prove people wrong, find support, never give in and never surrender ! Re-watch the video's if you have too. I am 54 and been dealing within, struggling with. Then you will see a sunrise or sunset that only you can appreciate in you own special way. We all understand.

How to ADHD

Thanks you guys, Edward and I just tackled the schedule and (hopefully) found a way to get back on track -- we're gonna get up, dust ourselves off, and try again. If that doesn't work, we're gonna bring on some help. Wish us luck!

You will find a way of doing it !!!! I think I have some quarters laying around. Cannot give you all of them, need them for laundry. You are doing great, better than me. I hope the email I sent helped remind you ! Plus I put a nice looking eagle on the blog for you. I have seen it before but not sure where. Tim

Jason, this is the most beautiful thing I've read today. I was diagnosed at 45 and it changed my world. I don't support this channel because videos are on time. I support it because Jessica and Edward are changing lives and I want to support that. Quality > quantity.

After the second video i saw in your youtube channel the first thing that came to my mind was "I hope she's in Patreon or something similar, because i really want to help her so this doesn't stop" for me having ADHD you don't know what it feels when i see someone explain the world the way i see it and to explain to us how to overcome the every day struggle that is having ADHD it's just amazing, i have a production company, i make commercials and documentaries if you ever need help with your videos just ask, and keep doing this!!

Art for Peace

Thank you for doing this! Your videos make me laugh and gave me hope. And a bullet journal :) best idea ever for ADHDers! Though somehow I set it all up nicely and then went back to multiple scattered notebooks that i'm going to punch holes in and add to my bullet journal binder-someday! You also inspired me to join Patreon! :)
