Vlog Day 27 — sometimes (my) writing sucks.

This is the challenging part of the process — writing the first draft when it’s coming out terrible. And having to keep going.

It's encouraging to hear that all creatives have those days that nothing's working out, not just me. You're doing alright, just keep on keeping on!

Hey, there's this channel on the tube, called HowToADHD, and they give advice to folks who are temporarily stuck... They say one should go for a jog or maybe talk to someone... Wait, you've already done the second part - now go get some exercise, of your favorite kind ;)

I'm not sure what to say, I just want to send some love. I think you're awesome.

such inspiring. It actually reminded me of this speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ResTHKVxf4

Jessica please keep on writing and thinking, you can and will do it... I am very sure you "WILL DO THE BEST". ADHD minds always rock. Your every video has literally stunning ideas and thats the reason that your videos have got so much viewers and followers; they all are following your creativity. I was actually going through same situation yesterday. I wrote every thing coming to my heart / mind, but it didnt look good the way it sounded in mind. But the solution is "keep on doing / writing" and it will ultimately hit the purpose.

Isた oh sorry, I'm participating in a japanese youtube livestream of ff6 and it's fun and humbling to talk in other languages. Anyway! I have PTSD and your advice has been helping me a LOT.

I think it's really incredible that you have to courage to share this kind of content with us. For me, some of the hardest things to share with other people, even those who are close to me, is when I'm struggling with the things I'm "supposed to be" good at. It's really important to me that you, someone who is such an important role model in my life, have used your platform to share this with us Patreon supporters, and help me on my perfectionist's road to recovery :)

Half my advice to my writer friends is "Here. Watch this video by Jessica. It's awesome, and it will help."

I've found life much easier as a writing coach/editor than I ever did as a writer. It's a piece of cake to look at something roughed out and figure out how to polish it, or to tell someone "I know you can do it, you creative genius you! Now get those hands back on the keyboard!!" Actually WRITING something... yah. That's hard. Thanks for reminding me that it is worthwhile to get back to myself. <3 WRITE ALL THE THINGS :D
