Our protagonist could be seen sitting in the lotus position, while a black space in front of him continued to absorb the energy of heaven and earth with no intention of stopping.

After a few minutes, a small red pillar formed around his figure, while several *Clarks* noises could be heard as he ascended to the next level of cultivation.

Silver Grade - 2 Stars!

"Not bad, my cultivation is getting faster and faster," he muttered in a calm tone, "And it's time to advance my plans."

Li Ming let out a small sigh as he entered his sea of consciousness; In front of him he could see millions of cultivation manuals floating around him.

Every time he entered this place, he could not help but have the feeling that this space was getting bigger and bigger. It was just his feeling, right?

However, he closed his eyes as his soul power expanded in his surroundings and carefully searched every single cultivation manual in front of him before grabbing two of them with a steel grip.

"The Invisible Double Blades," a martial technique to cultivate his bases and the supreme law of the "Great Art of the Desolate Halberd" to improve his foundation for the future.

It contained not only the skills of the halberd, but also a method of cultivation. Its power was simply enormous. It was a method of cultivating the demonic path. To walk this path was to walk the path of death. To practice it he would have to slaughter many enemies.

"Now let's go see the father-in-law," Li Ming smiled with obvious teasing before heading in the direction of the Lord Mansion.

He walked through the Mansion and through the gate as he waved to the guards and through the main entrance. He could go anywhere but a few places like Ye Ziyun's bedroom if he wanted to keep his life....

*knocking* *knocking*

Ye Zong heard a knock at his door and thought it was someone from the Mansion, so he shouted, "Come in!"

"What are you doing here? Ye Zong said annoyed to see who it was.

He simply smiled ''I want you to do me a favor,'' asked Li Ming, who raised an eyebrow at Ye Zong.

"What is it? Ye Zong asked in an obviously annoyed tone.

''I want you to let me go to prison and fight prisoners sentenced to death,'' said Li Ming.

"Why? Ye Zong asked with interest and continued, "Even though we have hundreds if not thousands of prisoners sentenced to death, why would you want to fight them?"

"Training.

Ye Zong looked at Li Ming, who looked at him with a small smile and sighed, ''Do whatever you want, Dad already told me you wouldn't be normal and I had to do it.''

''Thank you,'' Li Ming thanked Ye Zong before turning around and opening the door.

''Dad told me that once you start moving with your plans, I should give you the same plate that Ziyun has, although I don't know why, but if you do anything wrong with it I will beat the crap out of you,'' Ye Zong said before going back to work and said:

''Go now, I'm busy, I have to work twice as hard so I can have one day off a week for Ziyun.''

"Of course, "

[Interlude]

"It looks like I will need some pills later, I should go directly to the Alchemists' Association," Li Ming thought.

Li Ming shrugged his shoulders and waved to them before walking to the western side of Glory City where the prison was located. When he reached the outskirts, he noticed that there were many guard posts while a good 100 meters was just a simple grassy field with no trees or buildings.

Li Ming wasted no more time and went to one of the nearest guard posts and knocked on a door. ''How can I help you? A window opened and a man with bulging muscles opened the door with a friendly smile.

''I want to see the Prison Master,'' Li Ming said as he handed the man the Jade Token. On it was proof that it belonged to the Snow-Wind family and had been given by the City Lord himself, so there was no problem.

''Understood, follow me,'' The man bowed to Li Ming with obvious respect and led him inside.

The guard and Li Ming passed the other posts and crossed a drawbridge and entered the prison. After a few minutes, they finally reached the prison master's office and the guard knocked.

"Enter! A deep, aged voice resounded inside the office.

''This is what I will bring you sir,'' The guard bowed his head and returned the token before disappearing with his tail between his legs, which made Li Ming smile; it seemed that the guards were quite frightened by the man inside the office.

He opened the door and saw a man who looked to be about 40 years old if not for his completely white hair and some wrinkles on his face. He knew a little about this man, his name was Xiao Qiang and he was a 3-star black gold demon spiritist.

The man was already more than 70 years old, but his body was still full of muscles comparable to Ye Mo, if he remembers correctly he had to deal with this man since he lost his family to an escaped prisoner, which is why he himself became the Prison Master to never let such a tragedy happen again.

''How can I help you? The man asked with a cold face, although he knew of Li Ming's 'status,' he did not bother to hide his ruthless aura that surrounded the entire room.

''I want you to let me train with prisoners sentenced to death,'' Li Ming said coldly, clearly not backing down from the aura the man was releasing.

''A child who has not yet grown hair wants to fight with those degenerates? Go home and train,'' Xiao Qiang lost all interest and looked again at the papers in front of him.

''Currently I am a Silver Ranked 4-Star Combat Peak and a Silver Ranked 2-Star Ranked Demonic Spiritualist, take anyone under the Gold Rank, whether they are Demonic Spiritualist or Combat Peak,'' Li Ming said without backing down.

Xiao Qiang looked at the little boy in front of him and sneered, "Maybe you could fight someone above your rank in your school or something, but these people are trained traitors, caught killers, cold-blooded murderers, rapists, etc. They don't know how to restrain themselves, and I don't want to baby-sit you either."

"The only thing you have to do is to tell your guards to lead me to the back arena, because guarding me is unnecessary; if I die it will only be because of my arrogance," Li Ming said coldly.

Xiao Qiang looked at him with interest: as far as he knew, the little boy in front of him 'belonged' to the Snow-Wind family and had all the qualifications to live comfortably, or at least enough to not have to put his life in such a situation.

No child from the big 3 families would want to put their lives on the line to get some combat experience, heck, not even ordinary children with much determination would want to do such a thing

"Well, it's not my responsibility if you get injured or even die," Xiao Qiang said with a cold smile and called his secretary whom he had instructed to do as Li Ming told him he wanted.

The secretary in charge motioned Li Ming to follow him and soon they arrived in an arena that looked like a small space with dried blood on the floor and also on the walls.

''Young Master, your first opponent will be a 3-star fighter,'' the secretary said before entering the stands to watch as he was ready to rescue Li Ming at the critical moment as he was instructed to make sure that he learned his place and returned home and stopped disturbing him.

Li Ming looked around and felt his heart beating, not out of fear but..... excitement? He had killed many demonic beasts, but this will be the first time he will kill another human being....

''Young Master! You can take a weapon from over there!" The secretary shouted from the platform, and Li Ming looked at the spot indicated by the man. A row of weapons such as spears, bows, swords, halberds, etc. were neatly stacked in a corner near the opening of both doors.

Li Ming silently picked up two sabers. And he waved them with a few simple movements and became familiar with them by referring to his newly acquired martial technique while waiting for his opponent to appear.

After about 10 minutes, the secretary's voice resounded through the battle zone. ''Here is your opponent! Remember! He is a 3-star silver rank fighter accused of murder! He is accustomed to blood!'' The secretary shouted from the stands while Li Ming merely smiled.

''If I don't get used to it, he'll screw me over, just like having no combat experience,'' Li Ming's eyes glowed purple as he could only lick his lips.

'So... Let's get used to it by killing these degenerates!"
