"I thought I would go to the blacksmith to place an order and then return to my abode to cultivate honestly," Li Ming shrugged, "Besides, I have a ton of blood from all the demonic beasts I killed, I want to use it to make inscriptions."

"Oh," replied Ning'er expressionlessly, a bit disappointed, "I guess we'll part ways here then?" She was also rather surprised that Li Ming already knew how to make inscriptions, but then again, he shouldn't have, should he? Not after all the extraordinary things he had already shown he could do.

"Why?" Li Ming looked at her for a moment, confused as to why she should leave, "My house is spacious enough, you can come back and leave whenever you want."

Ning'er didn't mind, in fact, she felt a sudden jolt of excitement at the idea of entering his home, but, "Won't it be inconvenient?" she asked, "As much as you hate it, Shen Fei is my boyfriend, he might cause you trouble."

At that point, Li Ming could only chuckle with obvious amusement, "Don't worry about that dog," he shook his head, "if he thinks I'm teasing him and comes to make trouble, I'll crush him like the weakling he is," he smiled fiercely as he licked his lips, curling one hand into a fist that crackled with tiny lightning bolts.

"All right," Ning'er agreed, "then I'll go cultivation with you!"

Shen Fei could have been a one-star gold rank with an incredibly powerful Scarlet Black Tiger demonic spirit. But after seeing what Li Ming was capable of before, he could not imagine losing to the one who had never acquired his strength through hard work, who had only consumed elixirs and soul pills since his youth.

And honestly, she would quite gladly cuck Shen Fei with him someday. It might have been petty of her, but Ning'er was sure she'd relish the look on his face when she rubbed his arrogant face. Li Ming was ten times the man she could have ever hoped to be in his wildest dreams.

A few minutes later, Li Ming led Ning'er after a brief stop at the blacksmith in Glory City to carry out his plans, but more importantly, his power:

"Why ai required 729, Swords built from the bones of demonic beasts of the gold and gold-black grade?" asked Ning'er with obvious curiosity in her tone.

Li Ming simply gave a mysterious smile "You will see, you will surely be very amazed."

"Mhm" Ning'er nodded her head like a good girl.

"Here." he motioned for her to follow him, with most of the space around it and a big tree growing in its little courtyard with a cute garden on the side.

And the orange-haired girl was a little nervous. She didn't want to meet her ex-friend...

He stepped up to the door and to her surprise, instead of using a key, he pressed his hand against the door and channeled his qi into it. A circle of letters appeared suddenly, chained together and glowing red, before fading away a moment later and the doors swung open.

"Wow, was that an inscription?" Ning'er wondered.

"Yep," Li Ming grinned proudly, stepping in and gesturing again for her to come in, kicking his boots off as he did so, "A simple locking array keyed into my Qi. Much safer than a simple key, and if anyone tried to get in without my Qi, the array would zap them with enough lightning to bring down a Fanged Panda."

Wow! She didn't even think her own clan compound had a locking array as good as that...

"I'm just going to assume if something can be done with qi, you can do it until proven otherwise." the orange haired girl laughed, taking his invitation and walking inside, kicking her own shoes off beside his boots and closing the doors behind her.

"Well, I wouldn't go that far," he chuckled, "but in general I'm pretty knowledgeable on any subject when it comes to cultivation. Cultivation techniques, demon spirit creation, inscriptions, and a little bit of alchemy. I've probably read everything and learned by myself.... "

"So you are confirming that I am right." Ning'er joked. She looked around her home and had to admit that it was cozy. The wooden floors were clean, the fireplace was already lit, and the temperature was nice and warm. The decorations were not bad either.

His room was quite simple but also quite luxurious. A king-size bed that had a large pillow and comforter made of Fanged Panda fur with windows on each side of the bed that were currently open and looked out over the back garden.

Above the door was the stuffed head of a silver tiger, and opposite his bed sat a desk filled with neatly lined vials and a pestle and mortar. Above the desk, there were a couple of large shelves filled to the brim with books; there must easily have been over a hundred.

A bathroom, a walk-in closet, a living room, a kitchen.... Everything she needed was in this building.... He mansion looked just like Ye Ziyun, from what she could remember, after all, they had played together as children.

All in all, it was surprisingly beautiful. And much more inviting than her bare dorm room that she had used only for sleeping and resting....

"And apparently you also have a talent for decoration." Ning'er raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well, I had the remains of some demonic beasts that I caught while I was hunting, and I thought since I was going to be here for most of my life, why not decorate it a bit?" he simply shrugged in response, making his way to sit at his desk.

"Feel free to make yourself at home, if you want anything to eat or drink, just let me know, I keep my supplies in my space ring." he told her, waving his hand and releasing four different vials full of blood on his desk, next to a common curved blade with a curious purple tint on the edge and a silver pen for inscriptions.

"Thank you, but I'm fine for now," he replied. The orange-haired girl accepted him with her other offering and, letting her curiosity get the better of her, walked over to her bed, sitting on it. "Wow, this is so soft," she gasped as she sank into it. So comfortable! Perhaps even more so than her bed in her clan complex.

"Do you like it?" Li Ming smiled, "I changed the material of the mattress to Horned Sheep fur. I had so much fur that I had no idea what to do with it."

"This is great," Ning'er replied, dropping onto her back on the bed and luxuriating as her body sank into the bed. It was like lying on a cloud. "I could get used to this."

"Well, feel free," he joked, "You can crawl into my bed at any time."

Ning's face flushed from the insinuation, but she continued to smile, "Careful, I might take up some offer someday."

Li Ming blinked and then stood stunned for a moment, for once unable to come up with an answer.... It seemed that he was not used to being teased.

She basked in the silence between the two of them for a few moments before opening her eyes and looking at him from her position lying on her bed, "So what kind of inscriptions are you going to make?" she asked as he dabbed his pen into one of the vials of water.

"War Prime," Li Ming replied simply, not taking the attention away from in front of him.

*Hmm* She did not know much about them, they were the most complicated and least used in all of Glory City. the most she knew about them was that they had no attributes:

"I will use the blood of a horned sheep to double the physical parameters of the blade. Improve its sensitivity to my Qi and its cutting power. Then I would also like to improve its overall resistance with the blood of an Earth Devour.

... What? What!!! Ning'er once again gaped at the boy, who did not notice since he now had his back to her and began to write blood on the blade.

Could she do all this? Two different skills from the blood of simple demonic beasts of the bronze grade, and could he infuse a cheap common blade, not even made of materials of demonic beasts, with all this?

Such a thing could easily be worth more than a hundred thousand demonic spirit coins. What if you put all this on a blade made from the black gold demonic spirit materials? It would easily be worth millions.

"What a fool." Ning'er only managed to mutter while shaking her head slightly.

"Did you say something?" Li Ming looked over her shoulder curiously. Finally, Ning'er could not help but chuckle.
