Once they started working on it, they finished in a day. It's scheduled to arrive home today, hopefully by noon.

Sounds like a classic Dell "swap everything out with new stuff and send it back" maneuver.

I agree. First they tried just swapping out the CPU and Motherboard. I'm betting they just gutted the whole thing as that would be faster than trying to actually figure out what's broken.

If they had done that in the first place, this wouldn't be an issue.

Yes like I asked them to at the very beginning of this process. Weeks were wasted as they tried to cheap their way out of this problem. They ended up spending more time and money.
