Well, it's another season. Multiple birthdays and a holiday.

All in all, things are going OK, except for the government won't get its hand out of my pocket, which pisses me off.

The last week of so we've had a lot of thunderstorms, including several lightning strikes on the property. My wife and daughters have all joked that "Hey, look, inspiration for the second series is here!"

Yeah, I didn't leave the house. Let's not tempt fate, shall we? The one time I went to the store lighting hit the field about 200 feet away. Not the trees, the ground.

I went back inside. I didn't need that stuff from the store that bad. I just had my son-in-law go get it.

Progress on the editing of Book 10 is going good, same with the covers. Also, the omnibus cover. I'm going to put as much as I can in the omnibus, probably at font size 9 for the print ones.

I typed up a weird chapter the other day. A Telkan bounty hunter with a Welkret partner. With the Hypercom down and SolNet largely down, FTL commo is pretty shaky, so bounty hunters look for wanted criminals.

But then there's the problem of massive observation and surveillance systems in this universe. It would be pretty easy to track someone. But my brain insisted there were ways around it.

Another weird chapter was the two Devil's Daughter chapters.

I'm thinking about doing some artwork and shirts, maybe a few coffee cups with stuff on them. Not sure.

Eh, it's spring. I really should clean out the garage again.

Hope everyone's feeling well.

Maybe the criminal found a broken Atrenka crystal? Pushes you half a second forward, and half a second back out of sync with time... Neutral in 'malevolent universe' terms... But enough to bug up the security cameras?

No matter how good security and surveillance is, there is a way around it. Or so I've been told.
