Well, I've finished with the first editing and layout pass of the first book.

I was trying to decide if I wanted to put in Ullmo'ok, our favorite Bad Lanaktallan, and decided there was enough room in the book after checking the Amazon Print on Demand service to make sure it was under the max spine size. (It starts getting ridiculous after a certain size) So, unless they change the rates (In this Clown World we can't be sure they won't) it looks like Ullie is going to make it.

The cover is being worked on as we speak.

Plus, YAY, new windows for the house, since the windows and windowframes are nearly 50 years old. Got lucky and picked them up at a pretty good price, about half of what Lowe's is asking because the local hardware store wanted the space freed up.

Anyway, I figured I'd let you know that the first editing pass is done.

I have put a little bit more here and there, mostly stuff I'd put in the comments and a couple of corrections here and there.

Book One of the "Behold: Humanity" which is called "May We Come In..." is a go.

Which means, I start editing the second one and once the artwork is done, I pay for the next cover, and we keep going.

Additionally, I've been looking at the HARD BACK instructions and I'm pretty sure I can pull it off. So, right now, barring anything major, I'm planning on a hardback release in addition to the standard softback and ebook.

And that's the news.

All Praise Our Benevolent Overlady, the Hamburger Queen.

Most of my book purchases in recent years have been digital. But this is absolutely a case where I’m going full hard back if possible. Hell, probably soft cover too. I’m looking forward to these joining my collection of Dune, Weber series, and Discworld books that are falling apart from years of repeated readings.

Same for me regarding book purchasing. Been digital for a long time, but this will get shelf space.
