A Year (Patreon)

Well, here we are. A year of writing. All in all, more than a chapter per day, even though my schedule has suffered from all kinds of real life stuff getting in the way.

It's been a long year, but we've gotten through it. I like to think I made the year a little bearable for people. I know that writing has helped me get through stuff on my end, from moving cross country to seeing the places from my teenage and adult (when I moved back) years burn to the ground, to a vehicle wreck, to injuries, to setbacks with the new house, and all kinds of stuff, writing has been my touchstone to keep going. It's been a sense of normalcy when my world was going crazy.

From P'Thok stealing an ice cream truck to "Run, Podling, Run!" to the Night Terran to Vuxten and the other Telkan Marines to Friend Terry and much much more, it came from a place I didn't know existed, streaming out of my fingertips pounding on keyboards that sometimes seemed like they couldn't keep up.

We've gotten through this, another year. There's still more of the story to tell, still more things to watch unfold. I can feel them, lodged in my grey matter, slowly rising to the surface as my writing washes away the sediment to uncover them.

I hope that and pray my writing has helped you as much as it has helped me.

And I want to thank you all, who've donated to this Patreon, as it's led to major changes in my life and freed me from stressing over where I'll find work in these times so I can focus on the story, my writing, and my family.
