Reviled upon its first release, Richard Kelly's dystopian sci-fi satire SOUTHLAND TALES (2006) has earned a cult following that sees in it a prophetic vision. We wade through the soup of its sounds and images and debate what, if anything, this collection of late-Bush-era sounds and images is saying. This one has been a long time coming, folks!

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to focus on these podcasts. And I get it, southland tales is also hard to understand or focus on. But it makes this a podcast you can only listen to alone walking through the woods. Which can be inconvenient, if you’re trying to get things done and still get the gist of what’s being said. It needs to go back to the core of focusing on we watched a shitty Tom hanks movie so you don’t have to.

Y’all, I owned Mouse Hunt on VHS and I’m sure I have bits of it tucked away in my memory banks from when I was 10, I would LOVE an episode about it omg
