Hi folks,

Will and I spent a few hours this week toying around with our various options and, with regrets, we're going to need a bit more time to iron out the kinks so we can ensure this thing goes smoothly and we're all able to watch Batman Forever good and proper.

In the meantime, we're going to have a regular ole' Patreon ep for the week, so stay tuned.

In the interim, if anyone has specific expertise regarding how best to broadcast a movie over Twitch using OSB with two remote feeds coming in, please send us a DM.

We really do apologize for the delay, but if we're going to do this we want to make sure it actually works so that everyone has a good time. We also want to do it again in the future, so getting it right is important.

New pod dropping in a few days, as always.

Cheers gang,

Luke

You could perhaps pipe in bits of audio from the film every once in a while sort of like Riff Trax, just to make sure we're more or less in sync. Also please make sure there is a way to stream you guys in super low resolution to avoid lags and skips (I don't know if it's an option, but sometimes live twitch streams are in 1080p only and thus completely unwatchable on my end)

We’ve been watching tons of movies in a discord I belong to using invited.tv. The host controls a remote browser and anyone with the link can watch along and comment whether they have an account or not. Simply go to the desired site and begin a stream (sign-in to whatever service before sharing the link if you choose). So far invited appears to be compatible with Netflix, YouTube, prime, Hulu, but not Criterion channel. I don’t think Batman is streaming on criterion so no worries. The free rooms are limited to 2 hour sessions unless you sign up for a premium account or some such. Check it out. Super simple
