Love it, need more. Does anyone else think Ryker at everything in motion just to set Vince up with a couple actual goddesses?

Dryad's and Dragons are a pretty bomb portfolio. It makes me really curious if the shared portfolio is because he and Felix will both be over dragons and Dryad's after SSSH 4. The Campbell's rule can't wait till they meet Gus. Also Ryker is Ryker no matter the world. Love Vince asking if he should call him dad 😆 The book really puts Sevilles strength in context. Like I knew Steve was badass but a souped-up Vince backed by two goddesses and powered up by all the dryads and dragons was still in s*** s*** run away mode when he ran into Steve.

Red felt a little subservient in this book like she's herself, wild, untamed idk herself but compared to b2/3 she felt like a entirely different person. Especially since the curse was placed back on her at the end of 3. Idk seems weird. Kinda like a less intelligent (if you can say that) version of the Felix sisters... Why isn't Vince power ever exploited. He obviously knows he needs to be stronger so dies ryker and runner so set him up with more people or give him people to eat. His powers is mentioned once in like 2 lines in book 1 and isn't brought back up again until now. It's weird

What, the eating powers? He eats the Wyrms and contemplates eating the hearts of Nullifiers. As to Red. yes. She had a fairly terrible thing happen to her and her personality is in flux. Good points though.

Yeah I'm meant that he knows about his powers and in ww1 it says something about him keeping his meat stock filled with animals and things he could use and he says how he's greatful he ate snake that morning because the reflexes from it saved him in a fight. (it also talked about him loving elf) so why is his powers never brought up again until this book and why hasn't he tried getting stronger especially when they were in the middle of a war last book. I see Vince as a Chimera and he should know this especially with the magic he seems to use unconsciously, why does it seem like he doesn't have the tools when he does and when he uses them it's important for the plot. If it was me I'd be killing and eating the biggest threats out there.

He ate dragon hearts in WW2 and WW3, it was even mentioned in WW2 or 3 that subsequent hearts have less of a boost. And probably not much around stronger than a dragon. Unless he managed to kill and eat Sevilles heart.

Vince eats and Absorbs the power of that which he eats. He might have to eat 20 dragons to get the full power. he has only eaten three so far? I mean...this isn't like some game where he eats One and gets all of the powers....

I believe in another book he will be confronting big Steve in some way so it seems like his power will be comparable sooner or later

Ryn

Steve even said it wasn't the time for them to meet yet...but I love the fact that when it cam down to it....Vince and his whole dryad plus 2 small goddess was enough to stop him. everyone knows Steve is...the best way out

Ryn

I really think runner needs to take him home to the server he recovered. Steve already does a huge portal jump sequence just to look at art of his loved ones....why cant Runner do the same? he has the Steve song......

Definitely gets a boost from eating new and different things. Not -everything- from the creature, but a part of it. Each subsequent meal of said thing is diminished. As someone pointed out, the Dragon Hearts. In other words, Vince can't just go eat 5,000 bear hearts in a Level Grind and go be the biggest bear that ever beared.

Seville is super strong. His strength is inherent in his makeup and NOT an expression of anything else. Vince's strength is a product of his absorbing the strength of dragons by eating their hearts and an expression of his grove of dryads. In addition, he now has two goddesses fueling his power. As we saw in his confrontation with Seville, his grove power alone isn't a match for Seville's strength. Methinks his strength alone is also no match for Seville. I wonder if in a final confrontation, should one happen, would the combined impact of Vince's strength and his grove power focused to augment his strength be enough to defeat Seville? My guess is no. However, the two would be close enough in power to allow Seville some leeway in throwing that fight.

Was half expecting Taylor to gore Vince, trying to get her horn in him as he stepped into Legion

I mean it WAS within Vince's power to put up a magical barrier that was actually capable of stopping Seville from casually brushing it aside, even when he put in a little more oomph to make it seem like he was really trying (or maybe he was, its not entirely clear). As far as I can remember that's not something we've seen any other character able to do. I'm pretty sure its also only the second time we've seen Seville put in any real effort into a task or fight, the other being against Warner steeped in and taking full advantage of the full mantle of Justice. I'm also reminded of the end bit of RoR 3 where Runner tells Vince to go off and find Seville....alone. That scene is the furthest in the timelines we've had a glimpse of, and while Runner can be a doof he's not an idiot and wouldnt send one of his trump cards to just go off and get killed.
