Sorry for the delay in chapters.

Was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 last week.

Fun.

I've spent the last week trying to figure things out and not just be absolutely sick.

Should be good moving forward again.

Sorry to hear that, it sucks but hang in there!!!

Damn I'm sorry to hear that. My mom's been dealing with that for the last 8/9 months now and it's definitely a big deal and change in lifestyle

I am so sorry to hear that. I'm 30 and have been dealing with type 2 since I was 18. It's thankfully not the end of the world, though may be a costly upkeep in the US. But as long as you have access to meds/insulin and make at least a decent attempt at changes in diet and exercise you can reduce the harm it does quite substantially. I hope you're getting the right medical advise from your doctor and have a good support structure both emotionally and physically. Look after yourself mate, and know you've got lots of people who care.

Damn man. Hope you get better and quickly get to a point where it’s manageable.

Just remember that needing to watch your diet does not mean you can't eat tasty food ;) Can't give any helpful/unhelpful advice since I'm a type 1, but I just wanted to point out that not every restriction needs to turn out negative.

Just make sure you take care of yourself first and foremost.

If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Please take care.

David Morrissey

Take care, follow the instructions.

Sorry to hear that, it's bad news for anyone. I hope it doesn't screw up your lifestyle too much and that you get to grips with soon. Take care of yourself.

I am sorry to hear about that. I heard that there is a new tech called continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) by a company called Libre. It is a little flat cylinder that attaches to your arm and collects continous real time glucose readings (while it is attached) instead of fingersticks, then the data is transfered wirelessly to an app on your phone. It might be less annoying than pricking your finger every day.

Sorry to hear that, but I am glad you are feeling better and moving forward. I would give some advice from personal experience but I am sure you have already received a metric fuck ton and need no more.

Ah welcome to the club, it’s not the end of the world. End of lots of carbohydrates? Yes. I spent allot of time coming to grips with it. Ultimately I was able to get off insulin and all the meds by diet and exercise. My doctor told me this a long time ago, but I ignored him. After I started to lose feeling in my feet I finally took his advice. It works. Don’t wait as long as I did.

Yeah, Keto or carnivore diets have had great success in reducing or eradicating symptoms.

Best wishes to you as you get things figured out
