Do you by chance have a list with what girls name corresponds to what number? Sometimes gets confusing if you havent read it in a while.

Bought it. Thanks Will. Also, might wanna put up a more obvious HAREM tag on your books. Should help keep away bad reviews who put it because they didn't bother to look at what they were getting.

Josh rush

Awesome thanks! Can’t wait..Hopefully audiobook won’t be to far off as well. ;-)

Reading this (for a large part again) I keep thinking i should be listening to marilyn Manson cover of Sweet Dreams "Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you Some of them want to abuse you Some of them want to be abused."

Yissnakk

So...this may be a silly question, but what gives you (the author) the best return on the fantastic work? If a person reads it for "free" with a Kindle unlimited account first, then purchases it or does Amazon do fuzzy math to prevent gaming the system?

Yissnakk

Aw, Maaaaan! That song choice is great, but the "artist"? That's like Nickelback covering Bohemian Rhapsody! ;)

I just finished reading the first one yesterday!

Flinxie

Congrats on another release!

So, I was curious. I'm really bad at judging time frames in books, and I was wondering how long in between Alex waking up in a cell to the end of the first book was and then the time in between (3 months?) And then then how long from start to finish in FF 2?

Robert Hammack

Reading now on KU, just have to remember to wait for March to purchase it so William gets the double income- they have to be in different calendar months or he only gets paid for one of them. :(

Robert Hammack

yes, we had a discussion about it a month or so ago. I just put this here so others can see it in case they missed that discussion. I have KU mainly to try out new stuff I'm not sure about, where you're a "buy on sight" Author, but it doesn't cost me any more to use my KU subscription when a book comes out, then purchase later to keep (other than temporarily taking up a KU slot, anyway). So I figure if I can give you a double income at no real cost to myself, why wouldn't I? there are probably others here who don't know the ins and outs of how amazon pays you, and might like to do as I'm doing, hence this comment -I figure as a full-time Author, every little bit helps, and the more people we can get to do this, the better :)

So, what's the timeline for FF3? I'm ready...

Robert Hammack

There's a caveat there, I have a comment about it below. If I misremember or mistate anything, hopefully William will correct me, bu a KU read and a purchase are fairly equivalent in terms of what he is paid, the exact #'s depend on the length and pages read thru KU. However, If you do both like me, make sure the KU read and the purchase are in different calendar months, or he only gets paid for one. The number of days in between doesn't count, as long as the calendar month is different. So If you read with KU, say on the first of Feb, then Buy it at the end of Feb, he only gets paid for one. but if you wait until the first of March to purchase, he will get paid for both, the desired outcome judging by your comment :)

Rafnar Caldon

well the front of the book had a clue ... some time this year DD2 (obviously) and DD3 as well as FF 3 this year we may not get anything more specific till its closer to release.

WilliamDArand

Part of the problem is ... in a weird way... I might end up writing more than 12 books in a year. I kinda wanna do a book every month, which means I might have to slow down my writing? Dunno. Kinda weird.

Anonymous

Oh, there is no reason to slow down. It's perfectly fine to strive to be an over achiever and write more than 12.

Paul Sneddon

As much as I would personally absolutely love this (More good books to read are always welcome). I REALLY don't want you to start getting burnt out or something, so I'd say whatever you're comfortable with is good.

Rafnar Caldon

Now I kinda want to know what happened to Beth. It really doesn't matter but it's still a curiosity. Also why you never name an npc in DnD. The players see a name npc and suddenly they need a whole backstory and plot line attached.

WilliamDArand

I don't think it's even a burn out issue. It's a readership issue. if I start cracking out 1-2 books every month, at what point does it all blend together? Or is more enjoyable that you know on the 1st of EVERY month, there's a new Darren/Arand book.

Trav3lingman

I'd rather have a single book a month partly because of possible burnout. But it's also a better idea from an output standpoint. In any creative endeavor you have down periods. Be it medical issues or going on vacation or even just an artistic slump. Having some work set aside for a rainy month so to speak seems like a good idea imo. Keeps readers and income steady and happy.

Robert Hammack

I'd rather have a book or two every month myself, but it would be better to publish just before the end of the month rather than on the first. makes it a little easier to do a KU read, then a purchase as we don't have to wait an entire month before we purchase :) of course, I may be the only one doing this, though Yissnakk did ask about it yesterday, so maybe it will become a thing with fans that have a KU subscription already :) I think a lot of people would like you to get paid twice at no cost to themselves except the trivial time to do both KU and purchase :)

Peter

Personally, aside from the potential burnout issue, I don’t see a problem with putting out more than one book in a given month. If it was all one series they might be a bit much, but since you have several going, I don’t think it’s an issue. I like the idea of knowing a new book will be there to look forward to on the first of the month, but that also means it is 3-4 months before getting to continue any of the individual series. FF2 was a good read, I like how things are going in the story, I can’t wait for the next one to be released already!

Anonymous

I personally would look forward to having a new book each month. Additional books would be bonus. As for blending together; if I'm not reading your releases, I will be reading something else. So, what's the difference?

3hyver

Didn't you say you wanted to also try non harem fiction? Why not pace yourself a bit. It might help with your creative process, can try new ideas. Anyway looking forward to it!

Alex Frenkel

Personnaly I would prefer more then 1 book per month, especially when the books are from diferent seriese. I really loved how MSE was putting his books out, 4 seriese 1 book for each a month that was great, as I am a fast reader. The only problem for me was that I was reading on KU and then in a month had to buy them again, and it's 4 books a month :)

Karl poff

Lol had the same peroblem, I've run out of books to read. Although I did discover K.D. Robertson.

Karl poff

So any suggestions on something to read? I've read All off Randi Darren , William D Aarand, Daniel Schinhofen, Logan Jacobs M.R. Forbes..
