Beautiful, but deadly... It erupted in 2014 while there were still hikers on the slopes. Fuji is similarly regarded as "active" and long overdue by some volcanologists. I've been there twice, and that's always been in the back of my mind particularly as I looked down into the cone. Helluva thing, that.
