January 15, 2024: 0.8 Previews (Patreon)

One of the most difficult parts of writing ECA is how much I want to tell everyone everything about the story, thus ruining it in the process. When I'm selecting images to share, I'm always cognizant of releasing images that might give too much away.

So here's some raw images from 0.8, hopefully not ruining anything. It's merely meant to whet your appetite and let you all know things are progressing.

Speaking of progression...

Current raw image amount is 769. Some of these are meant to be chopped up as sprites so there's probably around 900-1000 of total different images, and I'm about half-way through the scenes. The other half of the scenes, however, are the longer and more intricate scenes that will require a lot more image work.

Then we move onto the animations... there's a few to add. Iris and Lerran will get some fun, as will some of the "minor" characters. What all will be added in sandbox is unclear. I know I really need to get some content in there, and it will be. Just depends on when the creativity to do them strikes and how much I'm working on.

I'm still not ready to put out a release date for 0.8 or for restarting the Patreon payments. If there are no issues, I would be confident in placing a bet on an end-of-February timeframe for 0.8.

It's not a guarantee, though.
