Not so sure I like how this turned out. I'll let y'all guess which character our new gal is, but I think you can easily tell once you see the design sketches for her face I've included below the strip itself~

I've decided to stick with the grounded, no-magic approach to this reboot. As many have pointed out magic (and my tendencies to go nuts with it) is a big part of what derailed C6 and I really don't want to repeat that here. I'm sorry to anyone disappointed by that but I hope the comedy skits and emphasis on character interaction will compensate~

As always I look forward to reading everyone's comments! Love y'all!

I love this so much. I'm laughing so hard

I wonder, do Gina have catsuit or some sort of harness, under her maid dress?

Tim Chapel

As far as I am concerned I am not worried about magic

Robert McGann

That's some serious coffee habit.

Well, looks like Gina ended up pushing her luck here (attempting to sneak another cup of decaf to Maaya without her Mistress being aware of what she was doing) and she has been punished for it? But from Gina's deadpan expression underneath the gag and Tia's super accurate comment about what exactly has led to this turn of events, it seems to be a fairly regular occurrence in their group, with any attempt made to try and force Maaya to cut back on her caffeine consumption ending up in the person who was responsible for this attempt (with Gina usually being the one who's done so, out of worry for Maaya's health, given the amount they'd usually drink) getting a kinky punishment. Also getting the feeling Gina's gag usually gets securely locked into place at the back of her head, whenever this particular punishment ends up getting used (it seemingly happening often enough for Tia to accurately guess what's just happened from a glance), so that Gina can't take it off again; at least until Maaya feels the lesson about her drink has been properly learnt (at least for a while)! Still, Tia certainly seems a lot different from Trina (both in her appearance and being more open in her interactions with Gina here), so I'm having to wonder if the different backstory which is being implied here meant that she'd a lot more freedom to explore whatever items caught her interest...

The beautiful rich colors and the sly sense of humor is a wonderful combination. Feels like a fun start to a new stretch of the comic! :)

Wild Card

ah, the big ball gag as punishment

Yamiflorence

These have been a lovely start so far. :)

As I mentioned on the Discord, this version of Trina (Tina for this universe) is based on the kind of gyaru you see in anime. I thought it'd be a fun inversion of her character from the C6verse.

Thank you, I'm hoping I don't botch this one 1,000 strips in like I did C6!

Collar6

Thank you, they're certainly a lot more fun for me to work on!

Agreed. Fiona's looking for a way to keep herself grounded and having magic in the comic can make it easy to stray from that. It happened before and she wants to avoid repeating it. I've watched interviews with directors and other people involved in making movies, and some of them have said that a problem or limitation forced them to be more creative in finding a solution. Bruce the mechanical shark from "Jaws" is a great example. Because it wasn't reliable, it wasn't shown on screen as much as they wanted and they recognized that the movie was better because of it. Working with what's physically possible instead of invoking deus ex magica is going to be a positive step for the reboot.

Ah yes, the "Mph" of resignation in the face of caffeine addiction, a classic xD Loving the new start!
