The cat, who frequently likes to go outside and visit her boyfriend, has brought fleas into the apartment. So I'm dealing with that at the moment.

It's kind of a pain, but I guess it's partially my fault for more or less becoming her owner despite her feral status to the point 90% of her time was spent staying inside. Also didn't help that her boyfriend, who's straight up feral, would sometimes walk into my apartment when I left the patio door open and scope out the place. I'm sure he brought in fleas as well.

Last week I gave her a flea bath, and the next day I put topical medicine on her neck. She was not fond of that medicine and quickly went outside, where she wound up staying out for the rest of the night until I got home from work the next day. I'm thinking either I didn't apply it right or she went and wiped it off somewhere because she was still scratching and my ankles getting bit like no other. So I bust out the can of raid I bought last fall when she had gotten fleas and have begun spraying it all over the apartment and then vacuuming afterward. Did it Thursday, Saturday, and yesterday. I ran out of raid and Target doesn't have any of the flea targeted one, so I'll get some more Friday and either do another round Friday evening or do it Saturday.

On top of that, I bought a flea trap and placed it next to my computer to catch any fleas hanging around the area. I got a couple dozen on there currently.

Even after all that I saw a flea jump off her today, though she doesn't seem to be scratching AS much. Either way, I'll continue the fight. I know it's gonna be a few weeks of fighting minimum of spraying the apartment and vacuuming to kill the cycle. Sucks that I have to keep washing my bed sheets, but she likes to sleep with me and it's adorable and I refuse to shove her off my bed. I mean, look at her!

My blessing is that the flea bites aren't itchy for me.
