I agree I think rapping hasn't gotten better BUT I think with the popularity her production is a dime and I agree that this would've been a hit to that reputation so I'm glad it was dropped too.

You make a good point. Maybe she scrapped the song cause she thinks the same way you do, because this seems like a Queen/Pinkprint throwaway track. I mean she threw away all her other songs except Red Ruby and Last Time I Saw You for this album so hopefully we get a full circle moment! I will say in her defense anytime she speaks on growth and depth in her songs she usually sings in them, but I know you hate Ms. Petty’s singing vocals so I wouldn’t expect you to like those.

I think Nicki's lyrical ability has gotten better over the years. Queen was lyrically her best work in my opinion but the delivery is what has declined. 2010-2013 Nicki was different because she would give you crazy bars with a crazy delivery versus now where she might be spittin but not in a way that's as catchy. I think lately she's been getting back to that tho with verses like Endless Fashion & Princess Diana but I hope it reflects in her solo music as well.

It seemed like a mixtape type song, or album filler. She has ability to rap circles around some men, all women. She can rap about pretty much anything, but I don’t want her on no Queen Latifa type lyrical music, but I see what D is getting at. “Tight and viscous “ 🥴 sounds good but I get it 🫤

I completely agree honestly, I want it to be like the Pinkprint where she was spittin about vulnerable stuff while still having some fun songs on the album. I want songs like Four Door Aventador, All Things Go, Trini Dem Girls. I want to hear about her actual life and experiences not just "this cookie clean, this cookie squeaky" lol.

From watching her reactions, I’m pretty sure she likes Moment 4 Life, Good Form, Chun Li, Chi-Raq, Super Bass and Red Ruby The Sleaze, just to name a few. I know she loved the Pinkprint and Queen albums too!

I feel like at the end where you were talking about her rapping about the same thing that’s starting to happen to a lot of artist including Drake. Not that his new music sounds like his old music but pretty much rapping about the same things just different content.🤷🏾‍♂️

I agree with the no growth in terms of the subjects that she be rapping on. I hate bringing up Beyoncé when speaking about her, but sometimes I do wish that Nicki truly mothered these girls. You cant listen to a Beyonce album and say that there’s no growth or evolution in her music in terms of subject. Beyonce will give topics about social justice to heartbreaks or whatever but we always know where she is in life currently through her music, regardless if you like the album or not. I didn’t Really like Renaissance but you can’t say that Renaissance sounds just like lemonade or her self titled album. I do feel like her lyricism has improved because over the years she probably felt more compelled to go harder because of all the rumors at Safari used to write for her so on Queen she definitely proved that he didn’t. But now IM like Nicki you’re a mother and married woman now, what has life taught you?? Id be lying if I said Nicki albums sound the same because in my opinion they don’t, but I definitely think the inbetween period of waiting for her music be so dragged out because what she’s releasing be same stuff just different tune. I have a little hope that this album might prove me wrong though. Hopefully, we will see…

I love how as much as a fan Dee is she’s not afraid to give constructive criticism towards Nicki Minaj because she was spitting facts in her review. I know she hates/denies being called this term but that she is literally the definition of a barb. She loves Nicki and expects her to do better, not worse!
