January 2023 Update! (Patreon)

Happy new year!!!

Hey how has december gone for you all?

I had to get very busy irl, preparing Christmas for family, and new years eve with friends at home. But still It's the 4th of January so time for the monthy update!



I think the main stuff I've been doing these days is...



Making enviromental threats and traps. The boulder damages enemies tooooo! woo! maybe one day I can code something similar to Doom's "monster in-figthing".

The boulder is a hard thing to do tbh, still needs a bit of work, I dont really like the physics it has and also when getting on a full stop still rolls a bit in place.

On the same note I also made some simple arrow traps (those were much more easy to do than the boulder).



Still I managed to fuck up the testing by not setting a cooldown on the pressure plate trap. lol.





And if you noticed...

There are new tiles being worked on, some style of contruction grey brick for ruins, still not happy on the look of them but im starting to work on them this month.



I'm thinking that making the ruins not fade to black could be good for contrast to normal ground tiles where its supposed to be a cutoff the ground in 2D, but buildings are like the trees where you as an outside observer see the whole texture.



it might be good to keep both for variety?





Well, also I've been keeping this a secret because It was a gift for a person I know in real life, and had to confirm if they liked the idea...

turns out they like it!



Kamila the adventurer!

She is a tough human warrior, that fights with two swords!

Still a lot of details about the character have to be discused with the person but mainly she will be a recurrent character you encounter throught the game. 

As if she is also adventuring around.



Time this month to keep working on more assets (I feel i need a lot of assets to advance more on the story part).

Also I hope that the Febria quest gets finished this month and polish some stuff more so I can make a new build soon!
