I'm happy to report that the person who left the unsettling exit message has reached out. They obviously seem to be dealing with a lot, but they're still here. They are talking to people from the community on the TeacupAudio Twitter page. 

Thank you to everyone who said kind words, showed concern, or offered a place to talk. I'm sure you've done so much good as a collective, and you don't even know it. By opening up, sharing your experiences, and lending an ear to others, you help people who might otherwise end up in the worst possible state.
