It's been about a week since I got sick and I'm still coughing up unmentionable things. I'm not running a fever and I was vaccinated, so I don't think it's Covid, but I still haven't had the energy to do much writing at all. It's a pernicious combination of needing to rest, but not being able to rest because of the coughing and congestion and stuffiness.

Anyway, this seems as good a time as any to make another sea change, which would be to limit my ficcing to twenty-five slots per month, both Patreon and Ko-Fi. For a couple months now, I've been doing a story a day, sometimes two, and I'd like to do a little more for my burn-out than just tap the brakes.

So I think this whole 25 slot thing will A. show everyone that I am doing *something* with my time--I've been on the receiving end of waiting months for a commission, not knowing if a guy is alive or got hit by a bus, and I know it's no fun. B. limit writing to a reasonable amount and timetable. If all 25 slots in a month are taken up, then you'll have to wait until next month. If all those slots are taken up, the month after that. This'll also give you a reasonable estimate of how long it'll take for a story to be

It'll be a first come, first served system and include both Patreon fics and Ko-fi fics, so if you wait too long to request your pledge reward, you'll end up in line behind people who were quicker on the draw.

This is reasonable, and will probably be healthy for my bank account. Also, feel better soon!
