Right, taking a brief break from writing to deal with some stuff, so this week, I thought we'd try something a little different and get into the project I'm gearing up for next: urban fantasy spy novel. And over the next few days, I'm going to just single out one character, named Jade until I can think of something better, and go into the random little inspirations that end up forming her. First off, we have the character of Silk from the last James Bond videogame that was any good, Blood Stone. He shows up at about the thirteen-minute mark in the video. He's not a very important character, but I liked the idea of a somewhat disgraced old agent who our hero, Cross, is not-quite-friends with. Eventually, though, I decided against having them actually know each other, wanting to avoid the 'small universe' syndrome of the Star Wars prequels and most of the Spider-Man movies.
