So we are thinking about what kind of reading group we should put together this year. Moreover, we wanted to get your input on what kind of seminars you would like to see going forward. It will most likely be the case that we will either do a seminar or we will do a chapter or essay discussion.

Here are some ideas that we were thinking of: an essay or chapter series on ontological anarchism. Maybe covering a few Plateaus. Agamben reading group. Spinoza reading Group. A mix of all of those things.

Feel free to recommend something completely different from all of that. Of course we can't satisfy everybody's taste, but we will do our best to accommodate a majority interest while doing something that we would all enjoy at least somewhat.

Let us know!

A reading of Hakim Bey's "Ontological Anarchy" or Robert Anton Wilson's "Neurological Relativism" along with some Stirner could be fun. ... Perhaps a dive into Buckminster Fuller and his idea of Spaceship Earth as it could relate to a broader appeal for ecological action, a narrative for global consciousness...

Would love to join in for a Nietzsche seminar Genealogy and Thus Spoke Zarathustra. A big one for me would also be What is Philosophy? by D and G

I don't know if there will be support for this, but I'm always down to re-read Desert By Anonymous if people would be interested!

I'd love to see something on Paul Preciado's Testo-Junkie. Builds on the work of Foucault, D&G, Spinoza, Judith Butler, among others. The autotheoretical form can be discussed in terms of non-philosophy as well. Craving more trans content after the Transgender Marxism episode. Moten & Harney's Undercommons? This very much pertains to an ontological anarchy, though not in those terms. More black studies in general would be great as the show is very continental European. If we're here in pursuit of liberatory ends let's look at more of the contemporary and cutting edge, no? It's very academic as of late.

Any readings that could help us reconcile Hegelian dialectics with Deleuze i.e a nuanced reading of dialectics that accounts for difference? So we can all become Deleuzo-Hegelians 🙃

Baudrillard, or Bataille, or Derrida or Lacan etc

I like the idea of reading groups by plateaus or chapters even - this would be helpful for letting whoever dip their toes into certain concepts and figure out where they might want to explore further / helps with not being able to commit to a huge series (maybe have series on going too?).

Also, personally I've been exploring stuff related to monetary systems, finance, and specifically a lot about debt and Deleuze and Guattari's takes on that (and also stuff like Proveti's edges of the state - generally, how does violence and war get acted out today (war machine?) through structural finance). I do like the idea (per the great resignation episode) of discussing or reading texts in light of current events or structural happenings. Could help in applying our favorite philosophers takes to specific and nuanced events.

It would be interesting to hear/participate in discussion of political aesthetics or theory from non-European contexts such as liberation philosophy. Would tie in and enrich the topics that seem to intrigue you/us.

All the suggestions sound interesting! It could be interesting to add some Frantz Fanon, Abraham Maslow or something from the Deep Ecology sphere to the list

Undercommons is great and gets paired with destituent power.
