It’s not really always about the editing, Samuel was superrrrr popular and always had high Rankings, his fancams were the most watched, his ranking only dropped because of one stage that he didn’t get lots of points. Also I remember as I watched the season while it was going on ha sungwoon got really popular in the last 4 episodes, because of his singing and personality, he was talked about a LOT, evenmore than guanlin for a time, and Daniel was already number 1 in ranking since episode 8.

So yes Kwon Hyunbin is acting but he’s also active as a solo artist under the name VIINI and he’s seriously so good I love him. I wanted to ask if you’ll also check out JBJ since they’re a group that consisted of some trainees who were eliminated in this episode (Hyunbin, Donghan, Taehyun, Sanggyun, Kenta, Yongguk) and still exists as a duo called JBJ95 consisting of Sanggyun and Kenta.

Just to let you know in this season there is 1 other group that get to debuted and have a promotion for less than a year. The group called JBJ and its consist of 6 people who got eliminated here kwon hyunbin, kim donghan (now on wei), noh taehyun, kim sanggyun, takada kenta, and kim yongguk. They have 2 title songs fantasy and my flower also a goodbye song call your name. It would be great if you have a reaction to that to jeff hehe cos i think theyre really good and the songs are great too.

also, the voting manipulation happened every single season, it was just extremely unfortunate that x1 had to pay that price that wasn't even their fault. it was hard because both ioi and wanna one had already ended contracts and disbanded, and the active produce groups iz*one and x1, but the outcome ended up like it did (still salty)

i'm back again bc i keep remembering things! in this season, the trainees might have thought they had to learn both because in season one it was just the one song shared so both teams performed the same song,, and this was the first season to introduce two songs and two teams for the final

As you talked about editing about haknyeon I really still sad about it because of the editing he was one of most famous and also most hated contestant of produce S2 he his parents got death threats which is disgusting and he going through all this during just after few months of his father's death is really heart breaking

Based on the news articles, there was only 1 person who was supposed to make it into the debuting group but couldn't bc of the rigging (i won't say his name yet to avoid you getting spoilers) but other than that, maybe the others' ranks are pretty legit? They didn't mention who was supposed to not make it tho. To give you a better explanation, these 2 teams will only perform their own songs. If they are chosen to do Hands on Me, then they would only do that song. And they haven't got the centers yet, the centers will be chosen later after they have learned the song (you'll understand better in the finale). And with this chance I'd like to promote CIX more ;~; as Jeff have said, they have everything from visuals to talent to good songs. They are so painfully underrated (their popularity is getting better tho from time to time, so that's good). Also, they are making their COMEBACK this month on JULY so please check them out!!!!!! Jeff maybe can note on that too hehe:D

Hi Jeff! I know that you're already planning to watch Wanna One's debut song Energetic after this show, but I hope you also include their song 'Burn it Up'. Energetic was their official title song but 2 music videos were actually released for their debut, 'Energetic' and 'Burn It Up'. Both have dance practice videos as well. ☺️ PS I really think you'd enjoy their songs and performances. Hopefully you'll get to check out all their songs in the future. ❤

The last part during the final songs explanation, the candidates were just guessing or speculating if they need to perform 2 songs. So that's not happening, they have chosen their songs and will be performing one song for each candidate based on what had happened in this episode.

the thing jihoon does "secure you in my heart (chojang!)" actually became a nation wide thing everyone knows same with the pick me theme song. To this day its still being referenced in dramas and by other idols. XD

At this episode, I was just very glad all of Brand New Music (Daehwi, Woojin, Youngmin, and Donghyun) had made it so far! I loved all of them while watching, and ended up watching their reality show as AB6IX afterward (with Woong)! No spoilers, but all of them are so endearing and charming and so incredibly talented, especially Daehwi, THE boy genius of Kpop, honestly.

Most of my favorites made it!!! You might want to checkout 'Wanna one go' - their reality show before debut. It's only two episodes. 'Burn it up' (one of their debut song) was revealed at the end of that.

i wasn´t really a big fan of the second song. Hands on me is definatly in my top 3 songs on this show. a lot of the more upbeat songs in this season weren´t really my style.

Also, hi Jeff, re: your assumption of the producers manipulating Guanlin's placement in this episode, if you check out the news regarding which trainees' placements were actually manipulated after everything went down, you'll be surprised to find out that Guanlin was truly 20th place in this episode. He just dropped off exactly because of being extremely underedited in the NEVER team. Police investigations actually showed that there were two times were the ranking was changed for 2 people. once in the first round and once in the last. it´s not like the WHOLE show was rigged.

Seriously I can never stop talking about Hyunbin, he’s so cool and has come a very long way. He improved so much and gained so much confidence it’s crazy… he even went on the masked singer! Oh and he’s also a songwriter/producer. I’m so proud of him🥺

ohhhhh i see. ya i would assume if the initial contract was only with his og, the new joint business contract wouldn’t have sufficed. when my agents left their company and started their own, i had to resign a new contract. so ya this makes sense

Unlike Produce 48 and Produce X, Produce s1 and s2 doesn't really rigged the vote. There's only one person who's been rigged out in finale ranking of S2.

Yes, indeed. Since Jeff knew other trainees and some issues revolving Produce series before watching this, he can’t help not to touch on those ideas. I’ve watched this more than enough and I still think it is as good as the first time I watched it — without knowing anyone. (ofcourse minus the rigged part) Still, can’t wait for the finale. I enjoyed it!

I know you wish you knew more about Nu'est or watched this 101 season before the Inside out comeback. But they also have previous comebacks that I highly recommend as Trouble or Bet Bet.

Kang Daniel choreographed 'Hands on Me'. Also, the guy never competed for any center position in any episode. And he was a rapper but could never get any rap parts and always got vocal positions. He was the true dark horse of the show.

I always cry when the boys get eliminated, I don't know how, but I really adore all of them.

This was the episode where most of my "kind of a stretch" picks were eliminated. Like, I had the trainees I rooted for knowing they had a shot because they were hovering around the top 11. But I also had a handful of trainees I rooted for but knew they were unlikely to make it in; Gunhee, Lee Woojin, Hyunbin, Kenta and they were all eliminated. It's this rounds elimination that always hurts the most during survival shows, because by now, I've grown attached to a lot of trainees and know most (if not, all) of them by face so it's sad to see them leave. The netizens were brutal as the season went on, anyone who's shown in a negative light or had some rumor spread off the show, suddenly saw their rank drop. Like Haknyeon's dropped after the previous episode. Im Youngmin dropped out of the top 11 because a rumor surfaced that he supposedly had a girlfriend (yes it was something like that) and then it was claimed he also cheated by hinting at his song preference during the concept evaluation but didn't get caught. So that's why he was penalized here.

As far as I could remember, during this 3rd ranking announcement, there were a lot of shifting in the ranking, especially Guanlin, is because at that time voters could only vote for 2 contestants, instead of 11 before, in the previous 2 rounds. So a lot of people speculated Guanlin probably didn't have a lot of hardcore fans, and of course, he didn't get many highlighted moments in the previous episode. But I'm not really sure either.
