Random information but just wanted to mention it really quickly. Back to watching and crying over this finale again

Also like Jeff, don't be too afraid to watch stuffs from groups formed out of survival shows! Because I think we're here to have a good time, not a long time haha. JBJ consisted of guys who were eliminated last time (the 3rd round if I’m not mistaken): Hyunbin, Donghan, Taehyun, Sanggyun, Kenta, Yongguk. Kenta and Sanggyun are still JBJ95.

I loved wananone as a group. But it took me forever to watch the finally because while I was waiting for the subs I saw the lineup and was sooo mad that JR didn't make it. Also one of my favorite things that came out of produce 101 was that Nuest's songs began to reenter the charts right after the show, and it allowed them a new start to get them their first win 5 years after debut which is a rarity

I've watched this season before when it was ongoing BUT I actually never had the courage to watch this FINAL episode. I watched this ep real-time but I really didn't watch it completely because I just can't. It was my first survival show to watch so it's really hard for me. Jonghyun and Samuel duo dance part hits me harder when the results were out. I'm happy with the final line-up because for me they were all deserving but I was just so emotional that time because I love them all so much. This reaction journey with you feels like I'm watching this for the first time all over again. Wow I'm getting emotional already. But now that your reaction is here, I think it's now the right time for me to watch this whole episode. Damn, I'll be a mess for sure. Wish me luck! 🥺

Hi jeff! Just to answer your question about Daehwi and Somi, Somi was under JYP before she transferred to a new company and Daehwi was an a trainee from JYP before so that's why they're friends :)

Totally did not expect this will come out today! Thank you so much. I remember how I cried when Jonghyun did not made it. Everyone and their mom thought he definitely going to be in the group and become the leader. However, the fact that 3 of them did not made it into the group also means Nu'est can still be active while waiting for Minhyun contract in W1 ended which is a good thing.

The excuse the producers gave with Dong Ho is that they let him out just because the show producer misunderstood one of dongho's comments about "how hard is to compete with your closest friends" so the producer thought he didn't want to be in the group. Dong Ho after explain he didn't mean that :( . Well in case you dont know, this year 2021 on March 11 The supreme court under the charge of manipulation and fraud revealed their sentences Ahn Joon Young (producer) is sentenced to two years in prison while Kim Yong Bum is sentenced to one year and eight months in prison. Five agency representatives were sentenced eight-month prison and suspended for two years.

After four years since Wanna-One's debut, I'm still here watching the PD101 S2 for the nth time. Yes, I'm one of the many fans who got surprised and disappointed that Jonghyun did not make it. The manipulation news did not really came out until X1 days i guess? I mean, they pushed thru with the investigation and all. However, I'm a huge wannable up until today, and it still warms my heart watching produce with you Jeff, I just wanna share that the group has been amazing, they grew a lot and I was able to witness it twice in person. This produce content of yours made me feel everything I felt when they were still active. I also agree, that it was such a waste debuting such amazing and talented people in a group and having them disband after 1.5 years. Produce and Wanna-One is such a beautiful yet bittersweet memory (except for the manipulations). Thank you again for this Jeff!! I hope you can also react to Wanna-One Go Season 2 because we'll be able to see them in their simpliest forms. :)

JBJ doesn't consist of people who got eliminated in this ep! It was actually made up of trainees who were ranked #21-#29. The line-up for Wanna One is soooooo good, I literally couldn't ask for more. You got 2 main vocals, very solid lead and sub-vocals, very good dance-line, good variety personalities, and very good visuals as well. I fully stanned them since PD101 up until they disbanded, and I didn't regret a single thing even if I knew they had to go to their separate ways in the end. Actually, knowing that they would have an end was what actually made me more invested in them bc I know I have to cherish every single moment with them since I know I'd miss it in the future. I will always be so grateful that Jinyoung made it into Wanna One. I believe it is what made him got this HUGE boost of confidence and also the reason why he could reach until this point now. Through his jouney in Wanna One, he could learn a looot of things (esp with his vocal "teachers" Minhyun & Sungwoon♡), he also got several opportunities to make and choreograph his own solo stages, it was overall a very good experience for him. to add, if you don't want to react to their reality show I can totally understand (but i still very much recommend Wanna One Go: Zero Base!!) so instead of that, maybe you can react to their episode of Knowing Bros?

What a surprise omggg thank you for reacting to this so early!! I still hope you'll react to their next songs and their shows/appearances. They are truly a joy to watch. And they actually get together (although incomplete) the most after the disbandment -- like their final ballad in this last episode, "Always", for example, they sang it as 5 last year and a lot of them also got together when Jisung got discharged from the army!! The other members' solos are also really worth listening to, so you won't regret getting into them :)

They literally admitted to manipulating Dongho's anxiety and the personal stuff he was going through before the finale with his family. Genuinely makes my blood boil. I'm just relieved he seems to be doing well now but damn, he went through so much.

So sad it's already the end, Produce S2 is really one of the best survival with win and mix and match for me. It looks like nobody told you that actually a third group came out from this season it was called Rainz :)

Going through the finale slowly (I watched it in real-time and it was hard lol. at least this time watching it with you I can take breaks) - just want to mention that the Super Hot choreography had a ton of fun references to the show! It incorporated parts of Nayana's choreo, and a bunch of other moments like the 'fashionista' line which became a huge thing after Jisung had made that pose a few episodes ago; Guanlin and Seonho's Troublemaker choreography; that facial expression Daehwi made when first seeing Baekho at the auditions (screw Mnet and their evil editing on that btw); that crown pose at the end being a reference to the show's logo and the shape of the first-place ranking chair; and that move in the Pop dance evaluation from the position evaluations with 'Save Me!' written by all the lower-ranked trainees, among a lot of other things. It's fun to go back and try to catch all of that

The title tracks are Energetic, Burn it up, Beautiful this has a movie and performance version, Boomerang, Light (My favourite Title Track of them), and Spring Breeze. If there is time I know you are busy but a special track of I.P.U has also been released. Wanna one is one of the groups that have great vocals i mean two fantastic main vocals in Jaehwan and Sungwoon plus you got great lead vocals of Minhyun, Daehwi, and Seongwoo my bias. At this point Jinyoungs vocals are still developing and Daniel has also became vocally centric on some of their slower tracks so you can just say this group is one talented bunch.

This was actually my first survival show that i watched back then and i decided to stan even tho it was for a really short time TT. Also! Really looking forward to your i-land reaction, even if there was some evil editing it is one of the best i have watched yet!

Thank you so much for reacting to this! Produce 101 season 2 is hands down my favourite survival show and I think watching this along with you marks my 5th time watching it. This whole batch of trainees were just something special, and Wanna One were even my ult group while they were active! I totally understand not wanting to watch their variety content -it's hard getting into already disbanded groups, I know, and Wanna One just have so MUCH content! Still, in case you want to watch just a little something, I really recommend their appearances on Weekly Idol and Happy Together. I think their first appearance on Weekly Idol is especially good for getting to know their personalities and it's incredibly funny too! I'd also like to recommend the cover performance they did on the show Sugarman 2 - La Dolce Vita. And should you ever change your mind, all seasons of Wanna One Go are fantastic too! (As for the quality of the show I'm pretty sure Mnet just originally produced the whole thing in low quality because all of the performance clips on Youtube have terrible quality as well)

jbj had taehyun, kenta, sanggyun, yongguk, hyunbin and donghan (yes wei donghan), kenta and sanggyun are still together under jbj95, taehyun and yongguk did solo stuff and well donghan ended up in wei. as for the wanna one members, as someone who lived as an active wannable, i can once again promise you wont regret checking their stuff out. every single member is still active (for example, woojin and daehwi got to redebut as ab6ix with the other brand new music boys) and all of them have done music after wanna one ended, so you still have lots of recent content and ways to connect with them. (Yes even jaehwan is still releasing music!) btw, none of this is pressure to react or anything, i just thought all of this was cool stuff to know anyway even if you don't end up doing reactions. Daehwi and Somi are not from the same company (somi is/was jyp) but they are really close friends! this broduce was one of if not the most successful seasons, so so so many trainees have debuted (including woodam, the one who did the mansae voacals, and moonbok!). once again none of this is pressure to react or anything, i just thought all of this was cool stuff to know anyway even if you don't end up doing reactions. wanna-one even though not together are still impacting just like Daniel is. when i watched thsi live, i cried on my kitchen floor when ong made it, and was reallllyyy sad for jonghyun as the 'nations leader' but wanna one boys became so precious to me and it was really wonderful to be a wannable, and i followed so many such as nu'est w until minhyuns return from wanna one, so i am really emotionally attached to them as a group. i didn't want to ask, but since you mentioned, i personally would LOVE if at some point you did decide to revisit pdx101, i'd really love so much to hear your thoughts and things, especially if you watched it a lot! this is like my 6th/7th time rewatching this series of produce. and yes a lot of the boys are still in touch and get to seee each other because they all ended upi doing well and being able to be active, in groups or as soloists and so on, and its really nice to know that they have forever friendships even if the group was disbanded. i might watch along i-land for the funsies and because i really enjoy hearing your thoughts and opinions and everything. if at some point you dont want to do something korean, you probably have been suggested this already but idol producer was basically a chinese version of this, has many people such as Lay and jackson (got7) as mentors, even jieqiong who was a member that debuted in ioi! its one oif the FUNNIEST shows, bursting with so much talent, and even a few recognisable faces from this series such as Justin, Jungjung and basically all the yuehua boys, and just i really think you would enjoy it a lot! thanks for this reaction series jeff!

People are saying that JongHyeon didn't make it because lots of Nuest fans voted for MinHyun after he was shown at rank 11 and they thought that JongHyeon would safely make it.

Until now, I am still incredibly disappointed that Jonghyun did not make it into the final line-up. He was nothing but kind, a good leader, a good friend, and a pretty great performer. If I had to pick a single person to debut into the final line-up from the Produce series, it would be him; his fans just got too complacent at the last second. Don't even get me started on how much the show and its producers did Baekho dirty. That man was SUPPOSED to be in the final line-up, AT RANK 7 (if I remember correctly) NO LESS! NU'EST as a whole was done dirty.

Anyway, anger about the finale aside, I do hope you give tons of post-Produce groups a chance! (I'm especially rooting for more AB6IX reactions, I just love them all so much, heh.) If Mnet did something correctly, it would be producing such talented idols, still debuting up 'til today. You'd be hard-pressed to find any new debuting group nowadays without at least one trainee who was on Produce. It's fascinating, really.

Havent watched this yet, but I know what is coming hahahah, so, Jeff it would be great if you could react (if you don't, you should watch it on your free time) to Chuang 2021 (or produce camp 2021), is the Chinese version of Produce, in my opinion, it is calmer and more fair somehow, the boys dont think too much about ranking and they really value everyone's talent, at least it didn't make me feel angry like produce 101 and for a Chinese program there are a lot of really talented foreigners that people started to love, I'm sure you'd like it :D

Hello I'm here again to hype up and recommend my dude Jaehwan's solo work. I was reminded of this because just a couple of days after you posted this reaction, he released yet another absolutely stunning cover on his channel, this time of 'Little Bit of Love' by Tom Grennan - it takes my breath away. His voice is phenomenal and I'm posting this here because of the timing and hopefully encouraging Jeff and others to check it out!

I will forever be salty about Jonghyun not making it into the group. Watching the live broadcast was so traumatizing that I told myself after this I wouldn’t watch any survival shows, but that didn’t work out…

People always say and assume that Scoups was there to cheer on Samuel but they forget how close he is with the Nu'est boys. Nu'est and Seventeen are currently under the same company while Samuel left back in 2013. Scoups was likely there to cheer on both Nu'est and Sameul but I think Nu'est more so. Scoups actually was part of Pledis' first batch of male trainees and trained with Nu'est for quite some time. He was part of Nu'est debut line at some point but was then placed in Nu'ests brother group "Tempest" which was supposed to debut not long after Nu'est but was ultimately canceled. He wasn't in the initial first line up of Seventeen either (he wasn't seen until season 2 of 17TV) and Samuel left not long after that, so comparatively, he has spent a lot more time with the Nu'est boys, and it would make sense since Scoups is the same age as the 4 Nu'est boys who competed on the show. As for Somi and Daehwi's connection, they're close friends who met as trainees under JYP Entertainment. Obviously Daehwi left at some point, Somi was still under JYP when she competed on Produce 101 and debuted with I.O.I (she ranked first on the show). After I.O.I disbanded, there was a lot of talk going around that JYP was produce their next girl group centered around Somi because she was huge while on PD101 and when promoting as I.O.I but then around late 2018 (?) it was suddenly announced that she left JYP Entertainment. No one knows what happened but it seemed like a mutual agreement between her and JYP to part ways. She's currently under the Black Label, which is a subsidiary of YG run by producer Teddy.

I will say, although it sucks knowing that Dongho/Baekho should've been in the final group but was manipulated out, I think things ultimately worked out well in the end. I think it was good to have 1 Nu'est member in Wanna One while the rest of them could continue promoting as Nu'est because it's easier to continue on a 5 membered group when you're only missing 1 member vs 2. In the end, Nu'est really turned their career around after this show, they finally gained the recognition they deserved. If you compared how people (viewers and the fellow trainees) vs now, you can tell they really won Korea over. And like you said, Wanna One is a pretty solid group as is, I don't know who I would've changed about that line up. As for the other groups that came out of Produce 101, actually 2 groups came out of the eliminated trainees: JBJ, which consisted of Taehyun (rank 25), Kenta (rank 24), Sangyun (rank 26), Youngguk (rank 21), Hyunbin (rank 22), and Donghan (rank 29). Taedong (rank 30) was also supposed to be in this group but had issues with his label and ultimately didn't join them. They were essentially a fan imagined group that somehow gained traction and was able to become a reality. They were only together for a short period of time BUT Kenta an Sangyun did end up forming a permanent duo after JBJ ended called "JBJ95" Rainz was the other group that formed from the eliminated trainees but were lower ranked: Seongri (Rank47) , Wontak (Rank 62), Kiwon (rank 53), Eunki (Rank 38), Daehyeon (rank 83, he's in Wei now), Hyunmin (rank 45), and Sunghyuk (rank 31)

Sorry, last thing I'll say for this series. Idk if it's an unpopular opinion/theory but I believe the reason why these survival show groups do so well despite their short term time together IS because they're only meant to be temporary. It's like seeing a limited edition product, they're only there for a short amount of time so it makes you WANT to savor them and get as much out of that limited time they're around. Like you have Fromis_9 (Idol School) and In2it (Boys24) who were formed from survival shows but were meant to be long term groups they don't nearly have as much recognition, granted they came from different shows but there just isn't that hype around them. Again, this is just my guess. It does suck that their time together is so short, but I can see why. If they had made it a long term contract, I don't think any company would willingly hand over their trainees. Anyways, thanks for reacting to Produce 101 season 2, it was nice watching along with you and reliving these memories.

I know I'm a bit late on this but I would just like to recommend the show master key. It has some of the wanna one members like daniel and ong sunwoo but also in some episodes shinee and exo also junghyun from nueast etc. Its really funny and has like a mystery aspect. That would be a good alternative to wanna one verity content as it doesn't rely on the relationships with the members.

I was shocked jonghyun didnt make it but yeah what can we do. Wanna one song is good you should check them out. Also after they disbanded. They go solo/regroup but my fav is han sung woon. I dont know why i quite enjoy his solo song. Its just my taste 😂

I know I'm a little late to this but you NEED to check out Hyunbin aka Viini. He got to debut in JBJ and went solo afterwards! He even was on masked singer and made a song for the webtoon of true beauty. Literally crying over his growth because I actually really liked him because he's a baby 🥺

Hi still waiting for some wanna one content before they perform on MAMA 2021 I'm not sure if you already know it but yes wanna one will have a comeback #TearsOfJoy they are going to perform together again all members with SWF dancers except lai kualin because of his prior schedule he still in abroad. Last week sungwoon and jaehwan just posted a picture of them together in their instagram account maybe because they are having their rehersal and a few days ago mnet youtube channel just posted a compilation of their performance in MAMA from the past few years, I hope you can do a reation video of it while we are all waiting kamsahamnida ❤

Just want to say this after watch SWF when BoA told Daniel it was harder for her to be the host of Produce 101 s2. Now I know what she mean by that, she had to stand most of the time in really tall skinny high heels, probably for about an hour or more everytime they announce the elimination/ranking. Just by imagine, I already feel my legs dying, I feel like walk in high heels would be better than just stand in them
