OMG YEY!!!! I didn't know you'd actually react to this. I don't mind watching this all over again to see your reaction. Also, every EXO episode on Knowing Brothers are hilarious! Highly recommended! :) Plus the answer to the shower thing can be found here too. I think this is a cultural thing for koreans in order for them to get closer instantly? About the familiarity of the hosts, a little information about the show: this is produced by SM C&C and most of the host members are under SM. Heechul and Shindong are directly under SM, Super Junior. Kang Hodong and Lee Soogeun is under SM C&C. Yongchul and Janghoon are under Mystic which is under SM as well. The only ones that are not from the same company are Sangmin and Kyunghoon. I only found out about this thru a little searching because of the surge of SM artists guestings. I had to, I was suspicous. Lol But if I remember correctly, Weekly Idol is also under them now?

The shower thing... Although we know Korean culture is quite different when it comes to this, in this case this is more of a reference to something Baekhyun talked about before on Knowing Bros when he was there with EXO. It's not like they HAVE to shower together. It's more that it's Baekhyun's thing to do that in order to break the ice and get more comfortable with the other members. When he talked about how he came in pretty late to SM compared to other members who were already friends and did this to break the ice, everyone was pretty shocked and thought it was funny. So while the culture regarding public saunas and bath houses is quite different, I wouldn't say it's normal for groups to shower together.

Mark doesn't have accent, except when he's pronouncing korean word that is originally from english word, then he usually pronounced it with the original pronunciation. ten however, has the strongest foreign accent. also FYI about the words, the translators just put english words in context, and not the direct translation. for example, they said "ahjussi" and it means "uncle" but the translation there is "auto". and it's actually 3 letters in korean, but for context the translation wrote it 4 letters, because of their first word is "asia" in alphabet and 3 letters in hangul (아시아). they did a lot contextual translation in here, so not all of them are direct translations. anyway, looking forward for more superm content :D

I really enjoyed watching this! Re their nicknames, mark’s baby lion was actually named by fans but it was ten who first called lucas giant baby (and he actually said that on the show). Also, I don’t think those comments you got about ten’s ballet training are totally wrong because he mentioned/implied it more than once in wayv’s lives that he never had serious ballet training so people assumed that he only had basic training just like any other trainees.

What you said about the 'a' sound in Korean and english it's actually interesting because the long 'a' sound and short 'a' sound are two different characters in Hangul whereas in English we use one letter for both sounds

Loved watching this with you. SHINee on Knowing bros is episode 50. I laughed so hard I cried more than once during it. Highly recommend it!

In korea its actually pretty common for men to shower together, especially at bath houses, if you were to enter wearing anything, theyd only think you were weird, they are all about confidence.

The songs that the Lucas, Ten, Mark and Taeyong were dancing to are actually older kpop songs (1996, 1997, 2009) from older SM groups, which may explain why the choreography is simpler. They probably chose the songs as a tribute to the long lineage of SM artistes. Its also probably nostalgic for the emcees of the show.

You should check out the 100th & 200th Anniversary episodes of Knowing Brother. Both had Super Junior as Guests and you would find out why they are called the craziest Group in the Kpop Industry!

They do host a lot of stuff but thats not all they are. Heechul is in Super Junior, Kyung Hoon is a rock ballad singer, Sang Min is an ex rapper of Roo'ra and he use to produce groups too, Jang Hoon was a basketball player, Soo Geun is a comedian, Yeong Chul is a comedian and he has a couple songs too, Ho Dong is an ex sirreum champion (korean wrestling) and has been hosting for years (and about the shower thing with Baekhyun, on an episode of Knowing Bros Baekhyun revealed that to get closer with the EXO members he would shower with them and if someone didn't want to then he would unlock the door with chopsticks. You'd be surprised with how many idol groups shower together when there are multiple bathrooms or go to bathhouses together, its sort of common in korea)

Shindong (The MC at the last game)did perform the Single ladies in their Super Junior performance, that's why he knows the song. Shindong is a great dancer. He's actually a dance line in Super Junior. Please watch their TTXQ Show. Where Kai and Taeyong taught Shindong and Hodong how to dance 100.

i don't think people were wrong to say ten didn't have ballet training, I think he took a few classes probably in school, he said he tried everything back in school but you can tell that its not ingrained in him because he doesn't naturally do the pointed toe thing the way winwin does in lovely. there was a ig live ten did a few months ago with winwin and he was asking winwin to how him ballet and he was talking about he knew a few moves but you could tell his knowledge wasn't that extensive so i think it's safe to say his training most likely wasn't for that long, certainly not at say kai's level

noticed some of the subtitles being off, but when ten said he never showered with anyone, he was saying he never showered with lucas, and ten gave lucas the name giant baby, he even has lucas's name saved as that on his phone.

Actually, when they're doing the word game, the subber took a liberty to use English words that fit the instruction, so they're not necessarily the translation of what they're saying in Korean. Subbers sometimes do that during word play just so watchers get the gist of the game

They also have so many dance classes at SM Ent. such as tap dance, krump dance like NCT’Jisung mentioned before. so I think mostly TEN learning bullet with the company’s class and as you can see almost every SuperM members know basic bullet moves.

Just to let you know Yunho is the member of TVXQ!, the mightiest male group in south korea. He's well known for being passionate and his dance skill. You should watch their products like Spellbound or Something they're at classic musical level.

Jeff , they shower together for the comfortability it brings their team , in Korean culture men often see each other naked at saunas and public bath houses , it's not considered strange at all , it's just a way of showing the other guy he's so okay and at ease with you we can do this , why not ?, when Baekhyun was on a previous episode with EXO he said it was their way of becoming closer here is the ep where they talk about EXO showering together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8ODuoigZYs&feature=emb_logo

The subtitle for the words they said while playing the game with the initial alphabet is actually not the right translation for the words, they changed them with English words that start with the same initial. For example, when they should mention words with initial A, Haechul said "아저씨 (meaning: uncle/how you call a much older man), however, it was "translated" into "Auto" in the subtitle. I guess it's so that it is easier to understand the game.
