them winning really had us all crying because the person they had gone against had already won twice and said she had her trophy shelf ready for the 3rd one. also some of the men you can see reacting to them are the members turbo! which is the group who’s song this is but ateez really turned it around and made it their own. ps joong said they prepared the performance in 2 hours :o

Hi Jeff. Have you seen the group BTOB. I've recently been checking them out and they're really good. It's not really a popular group because they sing ballads and also do the whole kpop thing for the music not the popularity( said so themselves lol). I think you'll really like them. I suggest checking out Missing You MV, Live Performance and there tipsy drunk performance of the song. You could also react to their guide. Honestly they are a bunch of crackheads but there really good. Hope you check them out. Also last time I recommended watching the dream show concert instead of the beyond the live but now they took down the dream show full version that was on YouTube so it would be best to do the beyond live instead. Again love your reactions. I think it's because of your reactions that I started liking other groups as well. Cant wait for the dancing high reaction and dance war reaction. 😀😀😀😀😊😊❤❤

Yeah, in that show they choose one famous singer or group per episode to pay tribute to them, and the contestants have to perform the songs of that artist. So every episode is about different artist. This time it was a duo from the 90s called Turbo (they are those guys in colorful shirts that were giving ATEEZ thumbs up 😁). That song is from 1995 and actually it is the only Turbo song I know, so I was SO EXCITED that ATEEZ were doing that specific track 😍 I like it very much, it's catchy 😂 It is a really really famous song in Korea, so that's why people were dancing along. And yes, some parts of that performance were the original choreo, like the beginning of the song and the chorus, but ATEEZ added a lot to that stage. I think that's also why the audience was so fascinated by that mix of old and new 😊 I, for sure, was. And I particularly love how Jongho was singing, he reminded me a lot about the lead singer of Turbo, Kim Jongkook - he's famous for his high-pitched voice while singing 👍 But everyone did such a great job here! They deserved that win. If I'm not mistaken, they are the first 4th gen group that won Immortal Songs ❤️

Oh noooo! Sucks they took down the dream show. Tbh I’ll probably still find some way of watching those in the future. I’ve been looking for actual DVD’s too! But yes Beyond live will do! I’ve seen BTOB be suggested several times. Might be awhile as I go that big list lol 😂 I do like ballads tho so maybe I can start with just listening to some of Spotify? Any recommendations?

Ahh this is an interesting format of the show! Can’t wait to see more from other groups too! I think I could’ve easily thought this was an actual Ateez had I not known it was a cover. The vibe, the choreo, the rock elements. SO GOOD.

It was 2 fun epis of Immortal Songs with diff artists covering the duo Turbo (epis 468 & 469). Among them Ateez, B.O.Y (your 'I know him' comment, Idk if you followed Kookheon & Yuvin after PDX ^^), gg Elris, bands, musical actors, an opera quartett, a trot singer... That's the fun of the show, you have rlly varied styles each epi since the artists invited for a cover have totally different backgrounds and I discover so many artists I didn't know before (I'm mostly just an idol group & band multi). And YES this rlly was Mingi's time to shine :3 It was a cool mix of original choreo & Ateez also using parts of their own choreos e.g. Hongjoong's dance break: they also did that during their world tour... Thx for checking it out and have fun looking up Immortal Song performances of groups you like. (If you ever have 90 min for yourself can rlly rec looking up a whole epi to watch & enjoy all diff performances, you can find the epi list with participants on wikip ^^)

Speaking of covers, highly recommend u check out Onewe's covers of Twit (original by Hwasa) and Hip (original by Mamamoo), they're another kband like Day6 and they're Oneus's brother group (literally as one of the member of Oneus and Onewe are identical twins lol) but their sound is AMAZING and they're very talented and underrated. Also, as an Atiny who has been DYING to see ppl react to this performance I'm so glad u did bc honestly I really wanted to see ur reaction to Jongho's 6 high notes!!! Keep up then awesome content here and on Youtube, we love to see it!

It was 2 hours for the choreo !! 😭 Pretty sure the arrangement took longer. I’ll take that as they’re half human.

oh yeah I know them from produce but I didn't follow them afterwards. I love the concept of this show because we get to see idols in different lights so that's really cool! will check out more performances!

If you're going to continue doing Immortal Songs you should definitely check out Yoo Hweseung's performances! He is N.Flying's (a very good kband I definitely think you should check the out) main vocal and he is so good!! He has a lot of great performances these two are some of my favorites: 유회승 - 헤어지는 중입니다 and 유회승 - 엄마 the second one is really emotional the original artist wrote it as a tribute to her mom when she passed away and Hweseung added a poem towards the end .. you can find translations for both the lyrics and poems on the comment section! ALSO Purple Rain is another amazing band 퍼플레인 - 비처럼 음악처럼 this performance is so good please add it to your list as well.. Thank you for your reactions as always!

Hey Jeff! I wanted to share a few thoughts since I actually didn’t see anybody mention it here. But the TRUE original song is called “Volevo un Gatto Nero” (I Want a Black Cat) which is an old Italian children’s song about, like the title says, wanting a black cat. Turbo (the duo you saw reacting to them) did a Korean version of it in 1995 called “검은 고양이 (Black Cat)”, they drastically changed the lyrics from the original just wanting a black cat to ...honestly I’m still not quite sure what but it’s definitely different 😂😂😂 As has been mentioned, they did it in two hours but it wasn’t mentioned specifically WHAT part of the performance they did in two hours but it’s incredibly impressive and I’m still so proud of them!! Part of what I think must’ve made this choreo easier to learn is that although they had to learn new choreo (the original Turbo choreo) they inserted plenty of their own movements from different songs into it. For example, there’s the dance break where Hongjoong is stepping, that was something they did on their first tour and then inserted into their GDA performance in the Wonderland part (which btw was unbelievable and if you have a chance to check it out, you should! Whether that be on your own time or as a reaction, up to you!). There’s a few of the hand movements from Thanxx as well, and Wooyoung’s hand movement from Pirate King where he does “will you be my friend?”.

Personally, I was absolutely blown away not only by the stability of their singing (their breath support, endurance and stamina are honestly unbelievable), but the level of showmanship and storytelling. Every movement and decision has a purpose and direction and it’s so well executed I’m just blown away. You can tell that they are all committed to giving their 110% percent and it’s honestly breathtaking watching them perform. Every time I watch this performance it feels like the first time because it’s just that incredible. I mentioned earlier about their endurance and stamina, I believe other idols and non-idol professionals have commented on the group’s ridiculous endurance and stamina as a whole and I agree wholeheartedly but it’s still mind blowing. I still can’t believe they performed Hala Hala, Treasure, Precious, Wonderland and Answer (in that order) back to back in their Seoul concerts. 🤯 Anyways, I should’ve added a “and in this essay I will-“ at the beginning of all this because holy moly this got so long I had to split it in two lmao 😂😂😂 THANK YOU for another awesome reaction and just ditto to everything you said!

So sad that it got blocked on yt :/ And if you can, i wanted to suggest you the ATEEZ GDA performance, it was unforgettable and epic, there you can also see HJ's dance break which was included here as well, along with other movements from their own songs. ATEEZ actually won this episode as well! And were the first 4th gen Kpop group to do so if I'm not mistaken. Immortal Songs is IT if you're looking for amazing vocal performances. Even if you don't know the artists, it's always so impressive. Hweseung from N.Flying's performances would be a great place to start if you ever want to check it out, he never misses.
