Holy Moly, these pages were meant to be finished *three weeks ago* aaaaaaaaaa but they are finally done!!!! I'm really pleased with how they came out. I was trying some new things haha and I think it paid off.

One of the biggest challenges with this comic was shading. Part of the brief was that I could only use two colours because of the way it's going to be printed, and as far as I know, I couldn't use colours at low opacity so I had to shade with tones and hatching, which is something I've wanted to get more into for a while anyway. I think the tones and hatching actually lend themselves really well to the spooky vibe and I'm really pleased with how they came out!

Hopefully the tones print OK haha, they tend to look a bit streaky on monitors;;;;

Another reason why these pages took so long is because about 1/3rd of the way through, I realised that I was going to have to bite the bullet and finally learn how to draw backgrounds. I spent a couple of days doing studies from a perspective book I bought (Framed Perspective by Marcos Mateu-Mestre - which is *excellent* by the way) and I feel like I can actually do this now, which is a first!

A funny turn of events is that I actually started to enjoy drawing the backgrounds as much as the characters which is like, so completely not what I was expecting. I hope I can carry this energy into future projects!!!!

Anyway WHEW this was a complete marathon of a project but I think it came out good! I hope you enjoy it haha :> This is for a horror anthology called Fantastic Frights by Cloudscape Comics

Wow, I love your artstyle in this comic! The color palette is really efficient, and I love the design of the characters! On page 3, bottom-left corner, I think you have a double "who" ? I didn't read the whole description before reading the comic and I missed that it was for an horror anthology, so I started reading expecting something cute and then found myself being increasingly uncomfortable (in a good way! ^^) so I'd say the horror part worked really well :D
