you were wondering before the ending if hader was directing the ep but hader is actually directing all 8 episodes this season

also, small detail i noticed at the end with the possible time jump is that in the fridge there was the same partially eaten sprinkled donut that barry was eating in the first scene of season 3

I agree with Sally about the movie CODA, Its a masterpiece and you should definitely check it out. Also yes that is the real Director

I think the last scene was a hallucination (there was only a half-eaten donut and alcohol in the fridge, and before their “son” opened the fridge nobody was sitting at the dining room table and after he closed it, Barry and Sally were at the table) triggered by Sally agreeing to leave with Barry. It’s similar to the hallucination he had after Sally told him she felt safe with him while he was in prison, where he was talking to Fuches as a child and then it transitions to a wedding reception with an older Barry and Sally dancing. He’s had several of these hallucinations of being a happy couple with Sally throughout the show.

I think the last scene is the equivalent of what we got in the cold opening of the one episode of breaking bad where it jumpedto bearded Walt. But we’re still coming back to the present for the rest of the season and then maybe finish on this?
