Now that it's been three months with the current weekly schedule style I feel like I'm pretty comfortable with it and it seems to be working for everyone. With feeling good about where that's at I've been thinking about trying something new with a new tier level here that would potentially add a decent amount of stuff on top of everything else. There's a ton of movies I've been either wanting to watch or been holding off on watching so that I could possibly do a commentary/reaction for them but they either don't necessarily have mass appeal or aren't well known. For the most part, the 2 movies per week have been ones that I feel fit both of those categories so that people feel they're getting enough value out of their membership and have enough options that they'd like to watch along for. My thought is that I would create a tier above the 'full-length videos' tier that includes everything in that one but also would get a bunch of commentaries/reactions for all these other films that don't fit the mold. Here's some of my ideas for this:

- No set amount of films per week (some might have 3+ extra, some might have 1, depending on what kind of time I have or what I'm feeling)

- Since a lot of the films in this tier may also be movies you haven't seen, the commentary style might be switched up slightly so that I talk a bit less than usual so you wouldn't have to worry about missing anything if you're also watching for the first time (which I assume most people for the regular 2 per week films are re-watching)

- This, at least at the start, would be a limited tier, I'm thinking for the first month as a test I'd open it up to 20 people. Then after we see how it goes I can open it up more from there.

- If there is ever anything we check out that is particularly amazing or a lot more people want to watch along for it, it can be possibly added to the 'full-length video' tier some time afterwards, but you'd still be getting it first/early on this tier.

- This would be a more chill viewing tier, just to have fun going through films outside some of the bigger names but also as a possible testing ground for films for the regular 'full-length videos' tier.

There's a few things that could make this tier difficult though:

- Film availability. If it'd involve more obscure or less popular films they may not be readily available online. How tough is it for you all to watch along as it is with the current slate of films?

- Interest in a tier like this. Part of the reason I also wanted to limit it at the start is just to gauge interest and see if people would even be down for a more exploratory tier.

Let me know your thoughts about this and if you'd be potentially interested in trying it out for the month of May! There's a few days before May begins so I'm open to any comments or suggestions before then. (The tier would be $15, again including everything the $10 tier already gets with all the new films on top of that)

What if instead of just 'chill' you go full Truman Show?

It's complicated. In theory it sounds good - more content for people willing to pay. In practice I think it depends what you're watching. The nice thing about the full length tier is that it's a good single price for everything - some weeks you watch movies I don't care about but that's fine because the next week you do. I rewatch some and watch some for the first time, and skip the rest. I don't personally struggle to find copies of any of the content you cover, but I'm also a technical person and know how to use VPNs and other sources so I might be an edge case. Maybe you could commit to +1 movie a week at the new tier and announce the movies in advance, so people know what's coming and can choose to sub that month if they want? This may be less fun for you if you want to spontaneously cover stuff. Alternatively this tier could include polls with only lesser known films, so the higher tier people can be choosing which they want to see the most (and you can only put films that interest you on the poll). That might help people feel like they're guiding the content and also know what sort of films you're thinking about covering. Also great to hear you're happy with the new weekly schedule! I've really been enjoying the mix of content the past couple months.

Sounds good to me! You can certainly count me in. I volunteer as tribute for an early trial. This is exciting, there's so many old classics and international films that need to be explored. It'll be a relief to see some more obscure and unique options.

I'm normally interested in everything you watch so I'll definitely be keen for more

I've always wanted to see you react to more obscure and less mainstream choices, so I'm definitely interested. But I would actually suggest that you don't change the commentary style - I think the way you do it right now is perfect. There are many movies that I watched from your Patreon for the very first time and I never missed anything due to your commentary, it actually kind of made me more focused on the movie.

I agree with Crab about the tier stuff, but if this new tier becomes a thing, I'm 150% gonna wanna be part of that tier anyway, especially since the while exploratory thing is a big part of why I'm interested in reactors such as yourself.

im pretty keen on this new tier idea although I think I'd want to know the movies beforehand like Crab said! I'm just a frugal person when it comes to money and you're my top Patreon already, so I'd want to be sure I'm interested in the movies you'll do. If you could announce at least the first few months' exclusive movies to people on lower tiers, it'd give me (and others) a better idea of what we could sign up for :)

One could say brandon really likes movies

I’d love to be part of the trial and I love this idea sounds like a lot of fun! I think it would be worth it in general just cause it’s more money for you and more movies for us weather we’re interested or not. The subtitle of being lesser known movies already sort of weeds out people who don’t care about that and they just wouldn’t join and the ones that do join would probably be interested in watching most of the films I know I would.

Sounds awesome to me man i like the not so well known movies a lot more than the big names that i see everywhere lol, Im down to sign up right now!
