THE BEAR is a great show 20-40 min fast paced episodes so really easy to get through in 2 sittings, definitely recommend it for the future

Really enjoyed this series and watching along, it reminded me of a film called WILD TALES 2014 its an anthology of six short stories and one of them is about two guys that get in some road rage that escalates just like this

Glad you enjoyed this one so much. It's probably the best one-shot season of a show I've seen years. The ending of the episode when Danny arrives to his parent's house on fire while Amy is stress eating Burger King like he does (or rather, as Paul told her he does) was when the show really went up another notch for me, like from a solid 8/10 to an almost perfect 9/10. The final episode initially threw me off with how intensely dialogue heavy it was, but upon reflection it actually makes perfect sense to end an increasingly crazy season with that kind of calmer, more introspective episode. The whole season had been showing how fundamentally similar Amy and Danny are in having a deep inner pain that they hide from the world, and dropped lots of hints at how much they could help each other heal/grow as people if they could just 'squash their beef' (so to speak). That 'squashing' is exactly what we saw in the last episode and made for a perfect resolution to their shared story.

Btw Brandon, if you have the time I would recommend watching up to 4x03 of Succession even if you’re going to save it to drop 3 & 4 together.

I rarely do this, but I watched through most of these episodes for the 1st time with your reactions and I really, really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure if I was gonna continue but your reactions gave me a reason to and I'm so glad I did because the back half of the season is soooo interesting. I kinda wish they'd structured the show a bit differently so there was more of that back half energy in the first half. The whole thing felt like an A24 movie stretched across 10 episode, so all that Act 1 setup was like 3-4 episodes. Great performances and ideas captured well. Wish there were even more single season shows like this.

I forgot to comment about this earlier, but toward the end of the season I noticed that the frames on Amy's glasses are shaped like the outline of a stop sign (i.e. hexagon). I have to wonder if it was intentional!
