what the hell happened to this season?

I think Dave Filoni's obsession with redeeming the prequels has stomped on any glimmer of hope season 1 had. Those Roger-Roger battle droids might be one of the worst things in Star Wars history. This episode was baffling. The guest stars stuck out like sore thumbs. There is zero verisimilitude in this series. This show feels extremely contrived and hollow. This could have been a parody of The Mandalorian on the MTV Movie Awards. I laughed when they had the key to the city just ready for them. It was like a joke.

Your definitely not alone with your opinion. How this season has dropped so much in quality since the last is beyond me, it’s kind of laughable. Never thought I’d say this but I don’t think I’ll be watching the last 2 episodes unless I hear they are somehow amazing.

filoni didn’t even write this… he even said in a previous interview this is johns show.. dave filoni is 100% focused on HIS show that he is writing, producing and directing

Whether he wrote this one or not his influence since season 2 is extremely obvious.

Half way through and I thought I was watching a Scooby-Doo Episode 😂

" I wish I could be enjoying this " Had low expectations for this season but man this has been all time bad. Looking forward to whatever replaces this awful show!

Personally I kinda liked how goofy this episode was but like this season overall has been sooooo all over the place it is truly baffling, idk what happened behind the scenes for this season to end up like this. Really hope this season ends up being a fluke and Season 4 doesn’t end up like this absolute mess.

It's kind of funny because I found Andor such a sluggish unemotional show and I never connected to any of the characters - that show just didn't work for me but The Mandalorian Season 3 is still top tier for - I am enjoying exploring how their focusing this season on the Mandalorians and regarding Grogu, he has just made the choice not to be a Jedi and instead to be a Mandalorian foundling. Jack Black, Lizzo and Christopher Lloyd are no weirder castings to me than Sam Jackson and Natalie Portman. Once of the reasons I enjoyed the Sequel Trilogy so much though was they did a good job of not casting a lot of famous faces, so I do understand that idea. Like to see Jack Black pop up in Game of Thrones might be odd. That said, at this point in Star Wars I'm used to it so it no longer phases me, and it also works well having them in these one off supporting roles, but like Carl Weathers you can always bring him back. But yeah, this show and season have been great for me.

Tony Gilroy will remain as Star Wars only hope

Filoni is a producer and writer of the show. He is most certainly involved and he is also involved in the overall approach outside of this specific show. His cartoon sensibilities have permeated all the series connected The Mandalorian.

I’ve been hearing that Pedro Pascal was not happy with Kathleen Kennedy and that he wants out of the show.

My initial reaction to this episode was the same as Brandon's but with swearing
