I hope I'm wrong, but I think they are implying at the end when it starts "snowing" in Hawkins, and just before that when 11 is spinning the bottle, that someone has just died. I assume they are ultimately going to defeat Vecna, and maybe even undo some of the destruction and death somehow. There are hints in this season, like the fact that upside-down Hawkins is stuck on the date when 11 opened the gate, that it might involved time travel. I hope not. It always feels like a cop out when the solution is time travel (I'm looking at you Avengers: Endgame). However they resolve things, I trust the Brothers Duffer to come through in season five.

great reaction, as always Brandon. a few things I thought of while watching: 1) iirc, Vecna was mostly practical with a bit of CGI for the tentacles. it was the actor Jamie Campbell Bower (who played One) in costume. it took him like 7 hours to get into costume each day he was on set and he never complained once. legend. 2) the way I see it, when El went into Max's mind, Max wasn't there. this means that Max is essentially brain-dead. when El touched Max's chest she basically just used her powers to restart Max's heart but she had been dead for over a minute so usually, that means braindead. except, in this case, we've been told that when Vecna takes someone, he absorbs their "essence" or "all that they are" into himself so my guess is that Max is with Vecna, and if we can somehow defeat him in Season 5, Max can be brought back. 3) I was so happy that you enjoyed Argyle because I've watched a ton of reactions to this season so far and too many people hated on him and called him useless. meanwhile, I'm like: ummm...if it wasn't for Argyle, they wouldn't have had a way to escape the government AND he's hilarious. comedic relief was necessary this season for sure! lol 4) everybody gives Sadie Sink props for her acting this season (and rightfully so because she killed it, especially in this episode) but many overlook Caleb McLaughlin's performance as Lucas in this episode while he is comforting Max as she's dying. when I tell you that I was crying ugly tears during that scene, that is not an exaggeration. I was crying again this time and I've seen that scene quite a few times already. thanks again for an amazing reaction! you rock! ❤️

I think the "snow" just means that the Upside Down is now bleeding into Hawkins, the real world. Vecna has blurred the line between the Upside Down and the Right Side Up.

Thanks for sharing all these thoughts Nikki! I really like that theory about Max being brought back by defeating Vecna, I think that could very well end up being what happens.

I hope so! I'd hate for Max to be saved a second time only for her to die this time. that would just be too much! lol
