COME AND SEE!

OmegaTheRed

I've seen Glory on a poll or 2 before, one of my favorite movies. Great cast as well.

This poll is like choosing between multiple masterpieces, oof! I know whichever film wins will be worth it (I'm personally hoping it'll be Glory), but man, I'd love to see him watch all of these. I'm not cruel enough to ask him to do an entire war film month, but damn...

Rickard Blixt

Wow! The Dirty Dozen, All Quiet on the Western Front (30s), Bridge on the River Kwai and Paths of Glory i’m all good with. And most of all - what a fun segment you added Brandon!

Jeremy Lindstrom

Hacksaw is my favorite war movie! Haven’t seen some of the ones that got picked but I’m sure they’re great as well!

J. Valentine

This is a fun way to do it!

Was pulling for Thin Red Line, but still some good ones, Come and See and Bridge On The River Kwai will hopefully do well in the poll

There are some great films here however if you have never seen either Lawrence of Arabia or the deer hunter they are must watches. LoA is a cinematic masterpiece, I would put it up against any other film as the single greatest work ever created in the field. (I understand this is entirely subjective.) The deer hunter is one of those films that must be seen at least once by any cinofile. The performances are career making and Christopher Walken in particular are equally disturbing and powerful. I would liken it to a clockwork orange, it's a movie that must be seen at least once though you may never wish to experience it again. Anyways the wheel was fun and I hope we can get back around to these two sometime.

It's fantastic, hopefully it gets chosen as I'm always down to rewatch that one.
