brandon i don’t know if you’re into animation but. i highly recommend you check out the Tales of the jedi, super good cinematography and scores and dialogue (if you like star wars) edit: and they’re only ~15 minutes long so not a huge dedication!

So happy that you finally got to this one! Not only one of my all time favourite horror movies, but one of my favourite movies overall. Such a fantastic soundtrack. I usually watch this in the spring as a tradition, but just had to put it on now. Edit: Just watched your commentary! This type of ”folk horror” was actually not that uncommon in the 60s/70s, some good examples are Witchfinder General, The Devils and The House of the Laughing Windows. Another modern example except Midsummer and The Witch would be the british drama/crime thriller/horror Kill List from 2011. That one takes you on a WILD ride to places you would never expect.
