I was shocked at how good this was. This and Everything Everywhere All At Once are my top 2 movies of the year I agree I didn't like Us as much as Get Out but when I rewatched Us I liked it wayy more than the first time

I just can’t understand how people love this movie. I thought it was the biggest let down of the year easily. A really dumb movie that tries to be deep just for being deep sake. Had some interesting scenes here and there but so much of this was an incoherent mess. One of the dumbest endings in recent memory.

In my opinion Nope contains just as much subtext and messaging as Get Out. The central theme is "spectacle" and the monetization of distburbing imagery.

Lol I understood the vast majority of the subtext. I have watched video analysis of it. There is nothing about it that went over my head. It's just a dumb movie. Just because movies have hidden meanings doesn't make it good. The vast majority of the problems I have with it have nothing to do with anything maybe going over my head.
