Much thanks

Shadoe Price

Ernie lied to him about calling Jimmy when Chuck was in the hospital. That was likely why he fired him.

And yes that's the same doctor who works for Gus

because Earnie did what Chuck expected him to do in the previous episode. Tell Kim what he heard when Chuck had him put the batteries in the tape recorder. He betrayed Chuck's trust and that's what Chuck expected him to do anyway

A detail you might have missed, that truck sequence before the opening credits was in the future, showing the drug supply chain is now run by Gus and his trucks. The shoes that were all faded and fell are the same ones Mike tossed up there with the drugs in them in that scene. And yes Mike firing the gun in the air was to have them just think it was hunters so when he shot the shoe they would not think anything of gun shot sound.

The prosecutor that Jimmy talks to has been around since the first episode. He was Jimmy’s main opposition when he was working as a court appointed lawyer.

The intro takes place many years in the future. The shoes that fall are the ones Mike threw up there. I think it's meant to show that Gus has dominance of the drug trade in the future instead of the cartel/Salamancas.

Not sure if you picked up on this, but when Mike is visiting the doctor, the nurse says he's there for "The revenge”, which has a double meaning. To any random passerby listening in, they’ll just take it to mean “Montezuma’s revenge”, which is a colloquialism for “traveler’s diarrhea”. Montezuma was an ancient Aztec emperor. When visiting tourists happen to drink water they’re not used to, they can experience certain symptoms of infection like diarrhea, fever, etc. Not just a Mexico thing, it’s common in other third-world countries. I happened to experience it myself when visiting my home country of the Philippines, and it was not fun lol. Anyways, Mike, the doctor, and the audience can figure that “The revenge” is actually code for Gus’s ploy against Hector

the thing that really grinds my gears about Chuck is that he's such a manipulative ass but always gives Jimmy shit about his schemes. the truth is that Chuck and Jimmy are much more alike than Chuck is willing to admit and if he'd stop and pull his head out of his ass for a minute he'd actually see it and appreciate it. but no, he'd rather shit all over his brother's dreams and deliver this elaborate punishment disguised as a "lesson". I love this episode because of how Jimmy just destroys him when describing how alone he'll be, suffering with his own hubris. seriously, fuck Chuck. on a completely different note, I love Kim so much. she is the best and Jimmy is so lucky to have her. she is the G.O.A.T.

Well, it works both ways. Jimmy also thinks he's better than Chuck in many ways, but like you said, they are pretty much the same. Kim is the GOAT, indeed !

Nikki Sonrisa

the difference here is that although Jimmy might think he is better than Chuck in some ways, he has never once used that as motivation to try to destroy him the way Chuck has done to Jimmy on more than one occasion. Chuck is an ass.

The Dude's Rug

the lawyer that jimmy knows has been in the show since episode one season one
