I never watched this show but I remember the controversy because of the "kidnapping", a lot of people had issues with how black people were portrayed and I feel like the "joke" was too long. This will be the first time watching though so I hope nothing else like this happens

This series is awesome. I think jk was 16 and v/Jimin 18. They learn a lot and there are some hilarious moments. After this you should watch BTS Run and Bon Voyage series. In both you get to know the guys, their personalities and in the process get to laugh your ass off. They are all so down to earth and relatable. Look forward to your reaction to the next episode!

I have seen this series before and looking forward to watching the series with you. The Bon Voyage series are better, but this is good. The whole kidnapping is not my favorite part but the series does get better!! The guys are just starting out at this time so they are rather young. If you keep up with this and bon voyage you will get to see their growth as individuals and it’s really fun!

The man that told them about the trip is Bang Si-hyuk aka “Hitman Bang” the founder of big hit. Jungkook went to America as a trainee because Bang thought he needed more dance lessons. The rumor is that he felt he was too stiff in his moves, not that he was bad but it was expressionless. He spent a year in America training, he was very young! I haven’t even finished the episode but thought I would comment on those!

So like, Jungkook was... maybe still 16 about to turn 17 during this. (Maybe 17 when the show was aired) Also BTS want a big thing back then like they are now (Of course they still had a lot of fans but now it’s HUGE) They gained their international fame around maybe end of 2015/beginning of 2016 (Army’s plz correct me on that) I don’t know much since I’m mostly a ONCE but I am a multistan so I know somewhat

Also Jungkook went to America because he had to get dance lessons. If you didn’t know, big hits other group, TXT (Check them out when u have the time) Also trained in America for dancing and such things.

Oh one more thing (Right when I press the send button I remember something else I’m sorry) Even though Jungkook May be 16 here, the show might say he’s 17/18. Pretty sure you know this but in korea your age goes up by one (or two). So if I’m 15 I’d be 16/17 in Korea. If you didn’t know this, the reason why is because Koreans count you being in the womb as a birthday, so when you’re born, you’re automatically 1 years old. (Also correct me if I’m wrong) when New Years happen in Korea, your age goes up by one too. (So Saying It’s 2020 and I’m 14, my birthday is... let’s say in May of next year. When New Years happen, 2021. I’d automatically be 15)

The show has its ups and downs. There are moments in this show that changed the members forever. While filming this they were also working on the album Dark & Wild. There are also a large backstage korean staff with them and a translator. Once you get to like episode 4 it really goes way more positive. I do not lile the way V was treated in the first few episodes.

Didn’t like the kidnapping part the boys looked absolutely terrified I felt so bad for them they were just young boys jk was only seventeen and the other’s were in their early twenties not cool at all 😔

Jk was 16 when this was filmed (Summer of 2014 I think), Jimin and V were 18, Rm 19, Jhope 20 and Suga and Jin were 21. Babies.

It was so hard to watch the boys looking so terrified. They were so young, in a foreign country, not fluent in English not to mention jetlagged. I agree, this was not funny. Let's see what episode 2 brings.

This is the first time im gonna watch it. I've seen some clips here and there but havent got the opportunity to watch the whole show. Ive watched all the run episode, bon voyage season 1 to 4, in the soop, burn the stage, bring the soul and break the silence. And im glad im gonna watch this with you. By the way i also love V😊

I felt the same way as you but with a bit more anger because I honestly didn't find the prank to be funny and after how hard they were working, they didn't deserve something like that. It must've been so stressful and anxious for them, not just the prank but Coolio's initial attitude towards them. Even if it was a joke, I felt uncomfortable.

Man what you get me into Toogrown. Now I've seen up to episode 7 of this and let me tell you, it's great, super second hand embarresment a plenty and really great for learning some hip hop history :D These guys are great man, gotta acknowledge that :)

And if you find a place to watch the concerts they have on dvds online you dont have to watch the concert but behind the scenes stuff they have is always different in the dvds. Mnet really thought they did something with this show.. it was entertaining, and it gets better, but the stereotyping..uhh..well the boys did learn a lot, but it could've done better. They were rookies though, so they had no control or say in anything. i'm new to ur patreon, but so excited for ur reactions

I think this prank gone to far. Of course i think that its a little confusing because Suga is sitting beside Jungkook and the next second Jimin ans Suga have switched places but when you see their faces.....i feel everytime so bad for them....and all of them were so young

What's crazy is that in terms of airports they have to take private flights now because the fandom is to crazy I'm pretty sure there's a Vlive of Taehyung talking about it. Saying that they would love to catch normal planes and go through the normal process but its just not safe for them or the fans You should see how about Jin got swarmed in Thailand it was insane
