The Knowing Brothers are all inside jokes. You'll pick it up if you watch them a lot. Heechul is a regular on the show because Super Junior members were in the army. He didn't do army service because of old injuries from a car accident, also why he doesn't dance anymore. Hodong was a professional wrestler so plays the tough guy. Tall guy was a star basketball player and is well known in Korea and is also wealthy, The guy who they said looked good is a singer from back in the day and a notorious gambler who is deeply in debt. He gets teased a lot about that. They all have a back story.

The tall guy is Jang-Hoon, he is a former pro basketball player. Jang-Hoon is divorced and the cast members regularly make fun of him about this fact on the show. Red Velvet (mostly Yeri) also made fun of him about the fact that he was divorced when they were guests (ep 21), it was probably the funniest episode of knowing brothers i have seen. Knowing brothers is also known as Ask us anything.

And just to add to this (so it makes sense) the reason why he stopped at Jeongyeon's name when he was guessing all of TWICE member names is because his ex-wifes name is Jeongyeon. That's why the guys were telling him to get over it and why TWICE were puzzled.

The guy you like a lot is Min Kyung Hoon. He was the main singer for a korean band called Buzz. A really good singer too. He is the maknae of the Knowing Bros cast. Him and Heechul are both the youngest so they are closer with each other and tease one another a lot. Kyung hoon is my favorite member as well!

- The tall guy (Jang-Hoon) is a former basketball player. A running joke in the show is that he's Kyung-Hoon's (guy in glasses) dad. That's why the crowd wants him to say the line "That guy isn't my dad!" I think because he says it a lot in the show and it's always funny. - The concept in the show is that they're all school kids in the same class so they're all the "same" age. That's why they laughed when Tzuyu spoke formally since she's supposed to pretend they're not older ie speak informally - Most of the cast are comedians like Soogeun and YeongCheol. Hodong was a champion wrestler turned TV host/comedian. Kyung-Hoon is in a rock band. Only Heechul is a former idol. Sangmin was in a hiphop group in the 90s, idk if you can really call it an idol group though. - Jang-Hoon doesn't want to say Jeong-Yeon's name because that's also the name of his ex-wife. It's a running gag in the show that they're not supposed to bring up his ex-wife and divorce (you also see this in the beginning when Hodong threatens to talk about it) - They're supposed to act like school kids so that's why you see them teasing, pretending to have crushes, and being mean to each other. Ex: Hodong beating up Soogeun in the beginning, Jeongyeon calling YeongCheol ugly, etc. It's all for fun though. It's kinda hard to get since we don't have these kind of shows in the US

Hodong is a really cool dude so don’t take him too seriously especially with that wife comment. If u rewatch it, I think u missed it he does say he was joking. The more u watch of these guys u will understand.

Yep Heechul is on this show, that's actually how he met Momo I believe. Knowing Brothers made a music video with Heechul and Min-Kyung Hoon called Sweet Dreams that's about a love triangle between Momo/Min-Kyung Hoon/Heechul. Another awesome reaction! When I first watched this I thought JY was really offended and crying too cuz She does get mad when people make fun of her real name. But that just goes to show how great of an actor she is. And SNL Korea will solidify that more when you get to it. Their personalities aren’t fully shining yet in these early variety shows... but they soon hit their stride and become more comfortable. Side note: WHAT A BLOCK BY BAM!!! Shoved that back down Tatum’s throat. Heat in 6!

This is honestly why I love Heechul and am completely in his corner. He doesn't just pretend to be a Twice stan he freaking gets into the choreo and dances with them. Also he's been a Momo super-fan since their debut basically. You can tell her really cares about the girls and especially Momo, so I'm sure they're quite happy together.

They didn't hold Tzuyu's hand during the arm wrestling because technically she still 16 (Cheer Up was on May2016, 2 weeks before she turned 17, though her korean age was 18). Plus, she is from a conservative background. Even in the hidden cam in TEPL, she was not included. Good thing your are following the order, you will see their growth as comedians. Heechul is a regular cast of this show since he is a variety show genius. Also he has been taking care of TWICE since debut. He did a tour of his house for a show and it is filled with TWICE merch!

Watching these types of shows as a beginner will definitely leave you questioning haha the amount of cultural differences here. Btw the theme of these knowing brothers show is to act like "classmates" or "friends" so there are things that you might find uncomfortable especially if you dont know the context first. Jeongyeon calling him ugly might sound rude but it's all for gags or part of the script. Janghoon doesn't want to utter jeongyeon's name because it's a running joke in that show since jeongyeon is the name of Janghoon's ex-wife.

34:47 Heechul is sholding Tzuyu's wrist because it's basically handicapping him. It's common for men who arm wrestle women to do this as a technique to "even" the playing field. A very usual tactic in arm wrestling is to bend the hand back of the person you're arm wrestling to beat them, by holding their wrist you can't do that.

About the Knowing Bros personalities: Hee Chul is from Super Junior, Young Chul is a well known comedian, Kyung Hoon is the lead singer of Buzz, Jang Hoon was a pro korean basketball player in the 90's, Sang Min is a legendary rapper from the 90's in the group Roora, Soogeun is a well known comedian, Ho Dong is a legendary TV host who used to be a ssireum champion (korean traditional wrestling). This wasn't the best episode to show their personalities especially Ho Dong's ad lib to his wife, but after watching most of Knowing Bros, you can tell they are generally good people and very very smart.

Watching your videos after work is the best lol. Btw Korean Variety Show comedy is pretty extreme. Running Man and any other show you plan to watch will definitely have some moments when you’re like “huh?” But I guess that’s the culture difference.

Yeah I said he might freak out during some of these show. In Korea they will almost do anything to get a Laugh. You’ll see worst later on but keep in. Mind it’s all fun and games. They edited the videos to show what they want to show. Most of them take up to 12 hours to film and then they take the best part and show it on the air. By the way, you should know by now Jeongyeon sister is a actress so it’s in her blood. Lee sang-min is super famous and had lots of money. He lost most of it trying to break into the US market and fail. His biggest claim is that he worked with MC Hammer but things went south and he lost everything. He in huge debts like in the millions but he famous because he been working to pay it off. They just allow him recently to have a bank card for his own account and a credit card. Following twice has introduce me to many Korean show. While you react to running man, knowing bro, and other show with twice in , you will find that they are great show that will introduced to many other idols. I have Viki app that have some of these shows and it also has a learn Korean mode that you might enjoy * not sure how good it is cause I never use it, Netflix has knowing bro’s greats hits. lol Knowing Bros is supposed to be chaotic. Also Ho-dong is actually a very sweet person. He plays up his bully character alot but he is one of the few people(including Heechul) in the industry that actually looks out for the idols... Knowing bros probably the best k-show with idols.

I think you should pause everytime you want to say something, even though it might be a bit annoying to some people, but I noticed that sometimes you kinda missed some of the subtitles and that made you confused as to what was happening..... But besides that I really enjoy watching you react to these kinds of shows keep it up!

in korean variety shows it's common for every hosts to have their "characters", you would see some say many mean things while some got bullied a lot. that's why jeongyeon were being "mean" to that guy and called him "ugly", it's all for show purpose. when you first starting to watch it's normal to be shocked.

Haaah finally my favorite show! These guys are absolutely hilarious! Ho-dong is actually a really nice guy and although his wife isn't a celebrity after more than 200 episodes it's obvious that she really loves this dork... ^^ She knows this is just acting and so do all the other Knowing Bros members including the guests. Kyung-hoon is the singer of the rock band "Buzz", but all of them (including Hee-chul) are more like professional entertainers doing all kinds of shows while still being active in the respective groups or bands. Jang-hoon is indeed a retired basketball player. He's very famous and also a really nice guy. You probably realized that everyone is trying to act tough in this show just like kids would in the classroom while the teacher isn't there. That's the whole concept and Twice, although it was their first appearance, did an amazing job to fit in. Some other groups were kinda boring because they had literally no experience before being guests in Knowing Bros, so I'm glad Twice are natural entertainers! The moment you reach the episode with JYP, Nayeon and Dahyun you'll realize that there are certain "rules" in this classroom. Everyone is considered a student no matter how old he or she is. Everyone talks and is talked to as if they're the same age. That's why Tzuyu is having problems with the correct pronouns and grammar... But it's kinda cute because that's what might happen in a real school... It's even more confusing if they suddenly have to speak to a teacher - Shindong for example, who is the PE "teacher" of the class. But you'll understand when you watch the other episodes. I guess you just need a bit of exposition because the guests are just one part of the show. Oh, by the way... Every student has to be accepted by the class representative. In the later episodes they actually have to fill out a form, but the OG members (Twice are considered OG in this case) just had to choose their partner by doing these questions. Since Twice has so many members this part took a bit too long and they probably had to cut a lot, but the upcoming episodes are well balanced and absolutely hilarious! I could write more and more about this show but you should just watch it for yourself. And I don't mean the Twice episodes but Red Velvet, Itzy, Blackpink and so on... I don't even mind if you do it on your own because doing a reaction for all episodes might be a bit overkill. BUT I'd watch them with you again! ^^

Yeah, this show is wildly entertaining. I especially like Tzuyu's progression through the show but of course all the girls are entertaining to watch here :P The first show with twice(this one) is defenitly the weirdest one. the rest are more "normal" with no hidden camera's and sticking to there more regular formula. All twice is great and can recommend first appereance from blackpink and all red velvet also very entertaining to watch :)

A fact, They made it seem like a prank but Jeongyeon's name is honestly so important to her. As we know, she was born as Yoo Kyungwan but she got bullied when she was younger cause it sounded like a man's name so she made it changed, when she finally got her name "Jeongyeon" she was sooo happy she wrote it on a paper over and over again so yea, shes sensitive about it. And another fact, she also doesnt like it when someone calls her OPPA or just something tha will misgender her, if remember correctly at one fansign she cried cause someone calls her oppa. But chaeyoung calls her "no jam hyung" cause shes close to her

The confusing part about Janghoon (the tall dude) is because that his ex-wife (they are divorced) were also called Jeongyeon. They usually joke about his divorce on variety shows where he is in. Hopes this clarifies.

That one guys stick is being ugly or annoying(the one besides Tzuyu) its all for the show. It's freestyle at that point with only a little scripted I believe 😁
