The dense megacity of MONOLIGHTER is a concrete jungle of circuitry and faded lights, trapped in a cycle of constant rebuilding as entire districts are demolished in favor of shinier, more efficient structures.

But while these inner streets are reworked to keep up with the evolving trends, the poorer suburbs find no such attention - instead, they are left to decay, eventually taking their place amongst the many city ruins that have also been duly forgotten.

Adzuki Street, once a bustling red light location for the common man, has become a sliver of desecrated history, offering shelter amongst the abandoned businesses for those willing enough to walk its empty paths.

There was no turning point upon which Adzuki Street would be officially abandoned - like many locations within the city, it would become plagued with irrelevency. From businesses that could no longer afford finite stock, to houses built on circuitry no longer supported by the city - there are a myriad of events that have contributed to the death of this tiny part of town.

Now, it is home to the homeless, a respite for those who dislike the hustle and bustle of an increasingly-electrical world, and to some, a discreet location where the eyes of the city are guaranteed to never be seen.
